coasterlover420 Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 My dad and I recently decided to hit SFMM and KBF this summer June 12-14 and I was wondering (aside from if anyone will be there) if anyone has any ideas for some video shots I could make of any rides to fit your needs. I don't know about all of you, but I can't ever seem to find the right shot of rides I like on the internet, so I'm giving you all a chance to get them right now. Any requests will be appreciated!
robbalvey Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 I think the best thing you can do is make a video that YOU like the best. None of the videos we make are ever anything we do because someone else requested a certain shot, etc. We make videos we like and hope other people will like them to! Otherwise you'll just end up trying to please a lot of people and probably wind up not even pleasing yourself. That's just my two cents. --Robb
coasterlover420 Posted May 23, 2006 Author Posted May 23, 2006 Well, I can try my hardest! And it's not like I won't make shots I like...
socalMAN123 Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Great to see that you are coming out to Socal. I'll give you what you should do and park plans for your visit. Knott's Berry Farm Get to the park when it opens, the morning crowd is usually very light and you can get on all the stuff you want to get on before 3:00. There's some stuff you should DEFENITLY hit and some stuff you should pretty much skip. Xcelerator- Great ride, forceful launch, defenitly go on it more than once Silver Bullet- The family mine train of B&M inverts, but you shouldn't miss it Ghostrider- Just like Xcelerator, don't miss it Boomerang- Only ride if you are credit desperate, this ride hurts, A LOT Kiddie coaster- For the major credit whore only On June 14th, KBF is open from 10 to 8. On June 15th, it is open from 10 to 6. On June 16th, it is open from 10 to 8. Depending on which day you are going, probably go on one of the 10 to 8 days. It is always fun to have a couple of night rides. Six Flags Magic Mountain Just like KBF, get here when the park opens. I know this from personal experience, you can get on half the coasters in the park in the first three hours of the day. Weekdays for SFMM are usually pretty slow, which means no crowds and lots or re-rides. Tatsu you should probably hit first, but I don't know how the lines are, seeing that I haven't been on it yet. Go in a counter-clockwise direction through the park because usually everyone will head to X, Viper, Revolution, and Tatsu first. You can probably hit the coasters on that side of the park in less than two hours. Well, that's my two cents on the parks you're going to, hope you have a good time! ---Brent
