jALIg
hypersonic seems to me to have one of the most insane intense launches evver, but if the launch would fail and the would not make the hill for a given reason. what system does it have to prevent a crash(if it has any) and how does it work? as i se it does not have the magnetic lowering fins as intamins does. any answer is apprecieted
pkdcoaster
OK it has fin brakes up the tower to slow its descent backwards then it rolls past the launch area to the brakes you see before the launch area. Interestingly the brakes on the tower can HOLD the train on the hill..it did this pretty frquently its 1st year...but I have not seen it do it since. It differs from the Intamins cause the brakes are before the launch area See pics JEFF
jALIg
is that brake area the same area they use to weigh the train before the launch?
pkdcoaster
No The weight station is right after you are dispatched and you sit for 10 seconds...then you are advanced by tires through all the brakes you see in the first pic. JEFF
Jon Sabo
Damn, and here I thought they used the Virginia squirrels and rubberbands to catch the rollback.
