Cyclic redundancy error.

Ok I went to install RCT3 and it gets mid way in and then stops , then an error pops up "Cyclic Transfer redundancy error" what is this and how can it be fixed? I know someone asked about this before and I know about the search feature etc but I can not find the thread anymore.

99% of the time, that is a disc read error. Make sure your disc is clear of debris and scratches and try again.

Honestly I have to agree that it is a disk error... I'm not sure if it is the CD or your hard drive though... I've never seen that error.

 

I would try going back to the store you bought it and see if they will exchange it. Otherwise call the support number for the game.

If you have another disk drive, use that.

Here is the error I get every time. "Data2.Cab" is the culpret what ever that may be.

 

I e-mailed atari/infrogrames about it and it will take 1-4 business days to reply.
