Mega-Spin Rollover

Hello, a few years ago Pleasurewood Hills got this flat ride called the Mega-Spin Rollover, I don't know what the ride manufactures official name for it is but apparantly only 2 were ever made, it only lasted for 1 season at PWH due to technical problems, lots of them!

 

You sit in a big circle, facing inwards, like a frisbee, but you spin madly and fip 360'

 

The great thing about this ride was the programme was different everytime I went on it, I can remember when I was held upside down for a while and it kept spinning very fast whilst it was left upside down

 

I was just wondering if there are any of these at any parks anywhere because I haven't seen once since!

could be totally wrong, but i think its a Move-it 32.

 

seem to remember a review of it over at coasterkingdom.co.uk. Martin Sheen i think wrote the article. Raved about it. Said it was the best flat EVER.

Nope, it's not a Move-It 32. Move-It 32 is made by KMG, has suspended seats, and the whole ride sits on a rotating platform, just like it's little brother, Move-It 24 (also called a Spin-Out). I've seen rides similar to what you have posted, but they were mounted on a rotating platform. Some names were Mega-Spin, SpinBall

You're right

 

There is some similarity though. Almost looks like an 'older model'. Or KMG came along and added another axis of rotation.

 

Even so i would love to ride the Move It model. It looks bloody amazing.

Yeah I rode one during a travelling fair, (the suspended one) I think it was called the "G-Force", it was one of the best flats I've ever been on.

There is at least three of these doing the UK fair circuit. One of them is called Stargate and usually covers fairs in the South. The generic name for this ride seems to be Megaspin. There is another ride that is similar to the Move It called Superstar. It was/is built by Northern Amusements. I actually prefer them to Move Its.

I went on one of these around 10 years ago at GMex in Manchester. I only saw it just as it was slowing down before I got on (I did not realise they spin like a coin).
