Fry Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 OK then, well yesterday I headed down to Thorpe Park with a few members of Coasterforce to try out their new Intamin ride Stealth. The day was busy, the weather was very "meh" but the rides were good and the day was great. So, after arriving at the park at getting my annual pass (that took forever) it was about 10:30 so it was straight to Stealth for a 45min wait, including time to queue for the front. The ride itself is pretty good, a nice launch, the Top Hat's quite fun, but it's all over much to quickly. There is a fair amount of Ejector Airtime on the ride though for something as short as Stealth, (the best Airtime is at the front). Stealth from "The Sunken Garden" area- Stealth from the Station Area- Looking back at the Station Area- After that we wondered around for a bit and ended up on the Log Flume, followed by Rush, the park's S&S Swing. It's a very good ride, with a lot of Airtime as long as you have a loose restraint! The Lap Bars are a blessing and so is the lack of spinning. From the queue- A bunch of happy riders at the top of a swing. After that I think it was the B&M Invert, Nemesis Inferno. A train on a Wingover- The vertical loop- Next we were going to ride Detonator, the park's awesome Drop Tower, but the queue was too long which was a real shame as it's one of my all time favourtie rides. We were also going to ride Colossus, the Intamin Looper, but the queue was too long once more. Noone was really bothered about that TBH. After that I lose track of what we did, but I know we hit up X:/No Way Out, which is so bad, it's awesome. We also rode Tidal Wave, which on such a cold day was possibly not the best idea, but it was great fun. Most people got soaked, but I was wearing an embarrassing poncho, so no worries there! We rode Stealth again- And then finished on Rush- That was it, and all though we barely got on anything, it was a great day. Enjoy!

Same here, I've ridden a drop tower very similar to the Detonator and I loved it but everytime I've gone to TP it's got a huge queue!!! I love Nemesis Inferno, I love B&M Inverters, they are probably my favourite type of coaster!! I prosume on Colossus they only had one train running? because if they run two the queue goes down pretty quick!
TwistedTrack Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Stealth didn't have a long line, yet Colosuss and the drop tower did?
martinb Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Stealth's queue goes down very quick, Colossus' doesnt't, especially as they like to run only one train as much as they can!
Inferno Insane Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 nice report. the weather look pretty good that day with all the nice blue sky which showed in your photos especially as they like to run only one train as much as they can! Was running two trains on sunday just gone
