nicktheride
Hey all. I just want to tell that Legoland Billund(Denmark) is adding a new Intamin rapids with a unique thing, for the 2006. The unique thing is a vertical lift(''water elevator'' as they call it themself) and a 8 meter high ''free fall'' drop at the end. The theme will be Vikings, and will have some big Lego figures, including a 4 meter tall Midgårdsorm(dont know what its called in english, but its a very big worm from the nordic myth), and a big red dragon. The ride will open on the 6th of May, but the park opens on the 1st of Aprill. I have got a job at the park, as a gardener, and i'm starting the 10th of Aprill, so i'm likely going to help and theme and plants trees and other plants, and doing the pathways/bricks around the ride. I can't wait! Facts: Built by: Intamin AG Type of ride: Rapids ride with 8 meter high ''free fall'' drop Boats/rapids: 11, with up to 9 persons each. Length: 438 meter long ride. 2 pumps, each powered by 125.000kW pumping 4000 liters a second. Price: 25 million danish kroner. Duration: Approx 5 minutes ride time. Nrthwnd
This reminded me of a great-looking model (see below) of a water/rails ride... tho I have no idea whether this was actually created or not. (And thanks to the guy having taken the pic....) ~ ~ ~ ~ ***Looks great from the drawing, this new 'Vikings River Splash' @ Legoland, in Denmark. And that may indicate, the prospects of a (future) TPR Scandinavian Tour look better and better, lol. Looking forward to any and all information you find and can share with us here about this new attraction. Thanks! (EDIT: Had name of ride wrong - corrected it.) Been a long time, so I'm not too sure what this was supposed to be of, or where it would be built. Anybody know?

nicktheride
Hey again guys. I know i've been gone from this site in a long time, but i'm back now, with something new for you guys. I was in Billund(the city where Legoland is in), to work on doing my room ready to i'm starting on my job at Legoland on the 10th aprill, and got finish in good time, so we drived by the construction site outsite the park(because i havnt got my seasonpas yet, so i didnt go into the park, and it was the first day of the season today, so...), and took 22 photos of the construction site from outsite the park. The vertical lift and the 8 meters high drop is now in place, and the station is being worked on, and the flume itself looked like it was finish. Can't wait to ride it! Check out the photos on the following link: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/gallery/Dshowthumb.php?mainroot=denmark&middleroot=legoland%20billund&lowroot=vikings%20river%20splash%20-%2001-04-2006 Enjoy!
