Coaster Passion
Well we all know that they might sell or close some parks down which i think sucks if they close them! What I was thinking was if they had to sell off some of there parks then why not some that would be really easy for another company to come in and re theme stuff! La Ronde isnt flagged yet and none of thier coasters are themed to batman superman ect.... yeah i know they will one day under six flags. WHat Im saying is Cedar Fair could easily purchase this park and they wouldnt have to retheme much of it! Goliath could be renamed and vamire could stay the same! Its a really nice and fun park and I think CF could really do something good with the park! what do you think??
robbalvey
Not even sure if Goliath would need to be renamed - Walibi World was able to keep their Goliath name after Six Flags sold the park. --Robb
coaster1
I'm not sure, but I'm sure La Ronde pulls in a good amount of attendance and money. Being that the park is pretty much the only one in the Montreal area, Great Escape is a tad south, but the fireworks exposition alone is enough to stay around in that area .. as that fireworks show is the WORLD standard. Shockwave
Seeing how Six Flags have given Goliath the Superman treatment minus the name, and Vampire has Batman colours, I'd say it's more likely than not that Six Flags will keep their hands on this park. It's in a prime location in Montreal, and with some huge race meets at the Montreal GP circuit next door, the park will have some extremely busy and profitable days. Carnage
From what I've read La Ronde is one of the lower quality Six Flags parks. I haven't heard all that many good things about it. Not sure Cedar Fair would really want to take on a park like that. If Cedar Fair would buy parks I'd guess they might be more interested in the Paramount parks. PCW has far more potential then La Ronde ever will. Though buying PCW would depend on if Paramount gets sold peice by peice, or all in one. Coaster Passion
Yeah PCW would be a better buy but you would have to retheme a lot of there rides and themed areas. Which that would cost a lot of money also! Well I honestly hope PP gets bought by CF or BG!
Carnage
^ Not really. There's not nearly as much theming at PCW. Paramount has always been pretty skimpy on the themeing. Drop the Italian Job, rename Top Gun, remove what little Paramount propery remains, get rid of the mascots. It wouldn't take any more money/time to retheme then when Cedar Fair bought SFWoA. Coaster Passion
ok i see what your saying. i've never been to the park but i heard it has some awesome flats!!!
Carnage
^ Yes, and no. It definetly has some good flat rides. Although most of them are run pretty slow. The intensity of the flats isn't really all that great.
