ECOSPHERE. Anyone have one?

After endless hours of searching for a bday present for my dad, I came across these ecosphere things. My dad has everything he'll ever need, very few hobbies, and doesn't listen to much music, which somehow makes it diffucult to find christmas and bday presents for him.

Anyways, I thought he might like this so I ordered him one before really thinking about it. Anyone who has one care to tell a little about it? They seem cool to me.

Those things look really cool, but I don't have one cause they're expensive and my room is too messy for something like that.

 

For those of you who don't know what he's talking about it's a glass sphere that contains a self-sustaining ecosystem. It's a great conversation piece.
