thrillrider1 Posted December 1, 2005 Share Posted December 1, 2005 me, my mom, and my 2 sisters are going to orlando for new year, and im wondering about some stuff. 1) whats the best disney world park?(AK, MK, MGM, E. we are only going to 1..) 2) will expedition everest be open? 3) will it be the parks be busy? 4) this may have nothing to do with anything./ but i saw it in a TPR once, and i want to know. Louise Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 It's near impossible to pick one "best" Disney park, it all depends on what sort of stuff you like. If your sisters are really young, I'd avoid MGM, simply because there's less for them to enjoy there. With my family, EPCOT was really the only park that pleased everybody, as there are a couple of "thrill" type rides, although no coasters, some educational science type stuff, great food and scenery, etc etc... But that's just my family. If you're looking for the classic Disney magic, I'd go with the Magic Kingdom, it kinda exemplifies all that is Disney. If it was to open soon, they would be doing a soft opening or cast member previews, neither of which have happened. As for the best park, Magic Kingdom never fails to please, but it'll be busy. After that would be EPCOT, which also has things for everyone. MGM isn't bad but there are more shows opposed to rides. And Animal Kingdom can be done in less than a day. Ghost Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 It will be packed… whatever park you pick… Depending what you’re looking for, if you want atmosphere I would go for EPCOT. Nice places to walk, nice places to eat (book well in advance) and the best firework display ever (I love Illuminations). On top of that some great rides, just no coasters… MK will be the busiest park for sure with very long waiting times. Still it is a magical place to be during a New Year event for sure… Studios has some great thrill rides (ToT, R’nR’ Coaster) but don’t think the New Year magic can be found there. AK I would only visit if you go to another park to celebrate in the evening… I guess this was no big help as it might only make it harder to choose… However; my personal pick would be EPCOT And whatever your pick… Enjoy and make sure to give us a trip report!!!
