Trip to the American theme parks

Good morning,

I am writing to you from a land far away, Poland to be exact. My greatest dream was always to visit American theme parks (but not necessarily Disney World). I have put that away as there have been more important matters. But with the lock-down when a person has more time to think everything came to a perspective. Cutting to the chase. I want my trip! I want my theme parks! I want all of that in 2021.

If the COVID situation allows that is how it is going to go:

that it is going to be me and my fiancee, we are in our thirties and we will rent a car to be mobile. We are going to stay around for up to two months. What parks would you recommend? What kind of road trip to get the most of this dream-come-true vacation time? Also what months are the best for visiting? We are pretty flexible in that matter with hoarding our days off to be used whenever we want.

I will be super grateful for all suggestions and supposed plans and pinpointing theme parks of interest. Thank you!

Welcome to TPR!

That's a long trip so I guess if you enjoy driving you could theoretically go anywhere but it's going to be easy to end up with a bunch of 25 hour drives or plane trips if this thread turns into a bunch of people just blurting out their favorite parks and sending you to every corner of the country.

Are there any specific parks that you know you really want to go to?

Are you doing just parks? Nature? Tourist stuff? Two months is a long time. I would maybe base in different areas and fly between them.

A northeast run including Six Flags Great Adventure, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Kings Dominion, Hershey Park, Dorney, New York City.

A midwest run including Cedar Point, Kings Island, Kentucky Kingdom, Holiday World, Six Flags St. Louis, Silver Dollar City, Worlds of Fun, City Museum and St. Louis Gateway Arch.

Texas run including Six Flags over Texas, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World, San Antonio sightseeing.

California run including Sea World, Legoland, Universal, Knott's, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Discovery Kingdom, Great America, sightseeing all over the place.

If you're into nature I suggest a Vegas/Utah run including Grand Canyon (yes I know it's in arizona but damn close), Zion, and Arches. Then you can also do Vegas stuff and Lagoon in Salt Lake City.
