July 15, 2017: West Happy Park and Wuquanshan Park in Lanzhou, Gansu, China

 

West Happy Park

 

This park is located in the west of Lanzhou. It is 20 years old and is showing its age. They have a loopscrew here which is "closed for inspection". This means it is no longer in service. Many rides here are out of service. I rode a powered dragon coaster, jungle mouse and a knockoff Troika and left. This park needs cleaned up and the loopscrew needs fixed.

 

Wuquanshan Park

 

This park is located in the south of the city center. It is at the foot of a mountain. It has some basic rides and one is a spinning yacht coaster. I rode this, walked around to take photos and then I left.

 

Both parks were fun. Wuquanshan is not about rides and only has about a dozen rides. West Happy Park is a full scale park. If the owners would fix up West Happy Park, this could be a very nice place to visit.

I just arrived in Lanzhou and my first stop is West Happy Park.

This is the first ride I saw. It has not operated in some time.

I love this view.

This would be my first ride for the day.

They love these in China.

This is not the real deal, but it would be my second ride here.

Up next was this mouse coaster.

This mouse is a little different from many of the other mouse coasters I get to ride.

It is rusting away, but it still operates.

It is a fun ride.

The loopscrew at West Happy Park is SBNO.

My next coaster stop was Wuquanshan Park.

This is just inside the entrance.

The park has an odd looking carousel.

This is what I came to Wuquanshan for.

Is is Chinese spinning coaster with an oval layout.

This will closeout the TR.

It's actually fantastic that they used a mini Disk'O vehicle on that spinner!
