The Angry Darren Mullins Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 July 2, 2017: Xian World Expo Park/Weiyanghu/Xian Chanba National Wetland Park Xian World Expo Park: This would be my first park of the day. Some type of expo was held here a couple of years ago. There is a lake, multi story pagoda type building and two areas of rides here. There is a coaster (#1068 for me to ride). It is a Golden Horse type spinning coaster. I am not sure if Golden Horse actually made it or not. I found this park recently. Weiyanghu: This park is in the northern part of Xian. It is an older park. There are rides all around a large lake. It is a gated park. It used to have three coasters. The last coaster, a wave shuttle, appears to have been removed in the last several months. This is a tired old funland and it would not surprise me if it doesn't close in the next five years. I could see high rises built around this lake. With rides being removed and not replaced, that is not a good sign, still, I noticed this park was much busier than the other parks I visited today. There were no lines, but many people were walking around. Xian Chanba National Wetland Park: This park is basically swampland a couple of miles east of Weiyanghu. They put a gate around it and charge 60 RMB to enter. This place is only a year or two old and has a lot of nice paths to walk. There is a small area of rides here. A mouse coaster with a completely different layout is here. Despite being a bit short, it is action packed and gives a nice little ride. I also discovered this park and this coaster before ACE or RCDB. I have discovered 376 coasters before ACE or RCDB. The mouse coaster here become my 1069th coaster and Chanba Wetland become park #540 for me to visit. It was a great day. I got to see two of the newest parks in Xian and one of the oldest parks here as well. I am going to Xian World Expo park today. This is a nice place. There are rides here. A lot of parks in this city have a giant Ferris Wheel. Another day...another spinning coaster... I see and ride a lot of these. It would be come coaster #1068 for me to ride. A short metro ride and then taxi ride took me to Weiyanghu. There is one of these old walk through haunted houses. Every park has one, but they manage to make the outside of the buildings look different at each park. This park, like the others in Xian, has a large Ferris Wheel. A short taxi ride away is Xian Chanba National Wetland Park. aaaannnnddddd...we have another large Ferris Wheel. A roller coaster is here. It is a mouse coaster. It has a different layout than other mouse coasters I have ridden. It was built a year or two ago. It is a fun little ride. This will finish the TR.
Gutterflower Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Another day. Another spinner all in the life of an enthusiast in China. Have you managed to ride any of the new Golden Horse rides?
The Angry Darren Mullins Posted July 4, 2017 Author Posted July 4, 2017 I have ridden some of the Golden Horse family coasters. I have also ridden their moto coaster knock-off. I have ridden the Space Cars and some inverted and mine trains.
