jackskellington101 Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 As seen in the videos and such, it's obvious that both of you have a love for rhythm based games. If you could only choose one to play, what would it be?
robbalvey Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Simon. Because I like to make a little song out of it.... --Robb "Oh, wait...this isn't the FG quote thread!" Alvey
Erik Johnson Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Well Leanne and I have been really hooked into the Taiko games. I am not sure if Taiko no Tatsujin has been released in the UK (The english name is Taiko Drum Master). We had to buy them from a interenrt store who imports the games into the United States. Also since the games can not be played on a normal U.S. Playstation 2 we had to buy Swap Magic which enables you (with modding your PS2) play Japanese games. I never have played Donkey Konga yet so I am not sure if its any good.
YoshiFan Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 IMO, Donkey Konga is just a simplified version of Taiko (since Namco also made Donkey Konga). It is almost too easy with even the top difficulty being possible to clear right away on most songs. It's fun but I regret buying it.
Pelydr Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Taiko Drum Master is freaking awesome, but the drum they released here in the states seems kinda unresponsive at times ( or maybe thats just me). Still, its a kick ass game.

Still, its a kick ass game. The drum is the exact same model in either Japan or the USA. Yeah when I first started playing the game I also felt that the drum was a little unresponsive until I figured out its secret. You just got to beat the drum silly. Just hit it hard and it works great.
coasterwill Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I also bought dk bongos, I thought it was fun songs but the drumming was too easy, there were four movements, left right both and clap. You could just do the center and clap all the time, I don't believe they penalize for hitting both drums when there is a left right beat. It's fun at first but it wears off. The only thing that was truly fun was four people, eventhough both the drums sound the name(yes I know they are plastic), it was fun to hear the drums and clapping. One more thing, you could feel the button on drum so you didn't really have to drum.
