Hilltopper39 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 In my circle of friends I'm usually the one giving advice on Disney trips but this weekend I have a Disney trip planned that I have absolutely no experience with, visiting the parks with an 18 month old. We're taking her to Disney Saturday for her first visit and I was wondering if you had any advice for conquering the Disney parks (or any park really) with small children. Obviously we're not going to take her on Space Mountain or Stich's Escape from Planet Suck or anything like that but I was just curious in your experience is there anything to stay away from? Anything that KT really liked when she was that young? Anything you thought she would enjoy but hated? Anything that you didn't expect much of but she ended up loving? Help me experienced theme park parents, you're my only hope!
SharkTums Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 18 months was still pretty easy at the Magic Kingdom. She loved everything she could do! She wasn't to the point yet of being 'scared' of things like Pirates or Ghosts because she didn't really know she was supposed to be. Make sure to do stupid things like Hall of Presidents and Carousel of Progress because she loved and STILL loves those (plus it's a great air conditioned rest for the parents). The Dumbo play area is a super place to let her run around in a safe place and get some energy out (again in air conditioning!!!)
Hilltopper39 Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Yeah the new Dumbo area sounds awesome and honestly I don't think I've personally ever been on Dumbo so new Disney ride credit for me i suppose. Thanks for the tips, that's kind of what I figured, she's so young that everything will be new in interesting. Thanks again!
