Update 7: Fast Forward Documenting (1992-1999)

Are you ready to fly through 8 years in the snap of a finger? If you're not, get ready because here we go!

SCR136.BMP

We're clearing space for something big!

SCR137.BMP

Silly Circus is the 2nd attraction removed.

SCR138.BMP

We were so pleased by Zierer's work on Munchkin that we got them to build a somewhat bigger coaster for a new area.

SCR139.BMP

This seems like a family area, which was one of the things that was planned in the announcement earlier this year.

SCR140.BMP

A quick overview of the area. It's not that big...

SCR141.BMP

1993 brings about the opening of Camp Snoopy!

SCR143.BMP

Work behind Camp Snoopy on a coaster station is underway.

SCR142.BMP

It's gonna be a mine train, at least that's what I can tell from this track. This is probably the major coaster in the announcement.

SCR144.BMP

We were told it's the main attraction of a new eastern and western mashup area.

SCR145.BMP

As you can see here, the area is a mix of eastern and western themed buildings.

SCR146.BMP

Wild Train opens as the park's main family coaster, with Woodstock Express also available for those not brave enough yet.

SCR148.BMP

People walk in to the new Mystery Darkness themed area, attached to the back of Camp Snoopy. The official description states, "that a family of eastern and western heritage built a village in the woods and this is what remains of it."

SCR149.BMP

Wild Train spirals around the exciting helices.

SCR150.BMP

A train rockets out of the cliffside on Wild Train.

SCR147.BMP

People enjoy their food at the Oriental Buffet.

SCR151.BMP

An overview of the park as of 1997. Nothing happened after Wild Train's opening in 1995 that was major, so this one was taken in 1997 instead.

SCR152.BMP

Cliffhanger gets its first retracking for its 9th year in 1998. It has gotten a little rough, especially in the tunnel turn. These improvements should make it slightly smoother.

SCR153.BMP

The last picture of this update reveals something that was hinted at earlier is coming true. Check back tomorrow for the announcement and on Tuesday for the opening!

CRAZY CLIFFS

ATTRACTION FOR 2000

CODENAME: MF

The wait is over. B&M is coming to Crazy Cliffs! Millenium Flyer will soar over the eastern side of the park, swooping through trenches, gliding over park guests, and roar through 5 inversions! Crazy Cliffs is in for a treat when guests experience their first dive loop, zero g roll, and corkscrew, along with the tallest vertical loop at the park! With 4483 feet of track, it will be one of B&M's longest coasters and the world's longest inverted coaster! Parkgoers will definitely flock to this extreme coaster when it opens!

Millenium Flyer's sign!

(Creator's Note: Yes, I have misspelled millennium throughout this whole ride update, but too late to change. And apparently I also misspelled Woodstock in game. )

Update 8: Millenium Flyer (2000)

Welcome to the NEW MILLENNIUM! Our sister park, Cedar Point, has opened the world's tallest and fastest coaster, Millennium Force! We just opened the gates to our new coaster, Millenium Flyer and the people are rushing in! Our last reported queue time was 3 HOURS! That definitely says how much people want to ride this amazing new thrill. Now let's jump into the update!

SCR158.BMP

Oh, Millenium Flyer got a double wide sign! Very high priority ride!

SCR159.BMP

People are racing to the new extension that connects Camp Snoopy to the path where Flamin Demon and Mystery Manor Maze exit.

SCR160.BMP

People have started to queue and it's getting long quickly!

SCR162.BMP

The ride storms around a massive vertical loop.

SCR163.BMP

After plunging through the first inverted dive loop, it swoops through a trench and has close encounters with fire elements.

SCR166.BMP

It comes near the queue line a number of times during the layout.

SCR165.BMP

The line is getting really long. This picture was taken when it was 2 hours long! As I speak, it gets even longer!

SCR161.BMP

The stats for Woodstock Express, Wild Train, and Millenium Flyer.

SCR164.BMP

8 coasters... we've come so far since opening 21 years ago... Check in on Thursday for the next update!

Update 9: Down, Down, Down (Late 2000, 2001)

Some new construction is going on down by Millenium Flyer! Let's go check it out.

SCR167.BMP

Millenium Flyer is still insanely popular.

SCR168.BMP

Cliffhanger remains the tallest, fastest, and longest coaster in the park, though each year it seems to get rougher and rougher.

SCR169.BMP

Green Terror and Flamin Demon are still good first inversion coasters for kids not brave or tall enough to challenge MF.

SCR170.BMP

It's a clearing!

SCR173.BMP

It's another clearing!!

SCR172.BMP

Millenium Cafe was quickly built in the first clearing.

SCR174.BMP

This structure is very odd... Why is it here?

SCR175.BMP

Ah, that's what it is! This is Vertigo, an Intamin gyro drop.

SCR176.BMP

Now that 2001 has started, MF's line is starting to die down.

SCR177.BMP

A group of brave riders spin at the top of Vertigo's tower. That's all for now. Check back soon for the next update!

Update 10: Year Of Replacement (Late 2001, 2002)

Cedar Fair has just announced that both Cliffhanger and Backwood Drencher will be replaced by newer rides of the same type. Let's dive right in and see what happens!

SCR179.BMP

Cliffhanger is closed... The reasons for closure are high maintenance costs and low ridership.

SCR180.BMP

It's coming apart.

SCR181.BMP

It's gone. RIP Cliffhanger (1989-2001)

SCR178.BMP

The park has lost both of its classic wooden coasters, but a modern new one will be taking its place.

SCR182.BMP

2002 brings us the new rides, Thunder Quake and Roman Rampage!

SCR183.BMP

Roman Rampage is a new, highly themed Mack log flume.

SCR184.BMP

The first lift hill travels through a small pillar structure.

SCR185.BMP

After the first drop, the ride takes a 270 degree turn around a large Roman castle.

SCR186.BMP

It then travels through a tower and around a colosseum.

SCR187.BMP

Up the 2nd lift hill, boats travel into a mausoleum.

SCR188.BMP

It plunges out into a big splashdown!

SCR189.BMP

Now let's look at Thunder Quake, the new Custom Coasters International woodie!

SCR190.BMP

It runs with sleek Gerstlauer trains. This one is flying through the turnaround.

SCR191.BMP

After a hill, it twists through a double helix.

SCR192.BMP

The final turnaround is one of the most exciting.

SCR193.BMP

A full train begins the drop.

SCR194.BMP

The new overview. That's all for now. Check back soon for the next update!

  • 2 weeks later...

Some of you have been wondering why this park hasn't been updated in a while. Well, that is because I have been working on a massive finale update! Thank you everyone who supported and viewed this project, and I hope you enjoy the final update!

Update 11: Grand Finale (Late 2002 - 2013)

SCR195.BMP

We're lucky we got out CCI built. They just went bankrupt building New Mexico Rattler, and someone else is gonna have to finish for them.

SCR196.BMP

It's still very popular!

SCR197.BMP

Green Terror is still very smooth for an old Arrow. Must be because it's not too big or intense...

SCR198.BMP

Rotator has closed down. It was one of the last remaining original rides at the park.

SCR199.BMP

Site cleared, a new ride should be arriving soon...

SCR200.BMP

Moving in to 2003, we have nothing new opening this year, but we have made minor improvements, such as giving Condor some TLC.

SCR202.BMP

Wild Train is still a popular intermediate coaster.

SCR204.BMP

Condor has been more popular than ever!

SCR205.BMP

Some touch up work has been done on Thunder Quake, mostly in the helix.

SCR206.BMP

Munchkin is old, but still a great kiddie coaster.

SCR208.BMP

Mystery Manor Maze is still a well themed and fun maze, and nice for escaping the rain.

SCR207.BMP

In 2004, we opened a Huss Breakdancer, in 2005 nothing major happened, and in 2006, all we have is a clearing in the Mystery Darkness area.

SCR209.BMP

In 2007, a Huss Suspended Top Spin named Rocket Dragon appeared in the cleared area. It runs a very intense program and is highly themed.

SCR210.BMP

This proves that without its themeing, Rocket Dragon is very bland.

SCR211.BMP

The boats are still fun for a couple or just a nice day on the water.

SCR212.BMP

Sky Tower remains the tallest ride in the park.

SCR213.BMP

In 2008, we opened a monorail that traverses the park.

SCR214.BMP

It has 3 stations, which allows boarding and transportation with ease.

SCR215.BMP

It also has 8 trains for extra high capacity.

SCR216.BMP

Here you can see the entire layout.

SCR217.BMP

Thunder Quake got its first major retracking.

SCR218.BMP

Many CCI coasters have gotten very rough, but we are devoted to keeping ours as smooth as possible.

SCR219.BMP

In 2009, Sky Tower was given a refurbishment, and Condor's aging parts were swapped with ones donated from the now defunct Big Bad Wolf.

SCR220.BMP

In 2010, Roman Rampage was given a good refurbishment.

SCR222.BMP

In 2011, a motion simulator for kids named Charlie Brown's Car Ride was added to Camp Snoopy.

SCR223.BMP

In 2012, a 4D movie dome playing "Space Storm" was added.

SCR224.BMP

But something arrived that would change Crazy Cliffs forever, in more ways than one.

SCR225.BMP

Twisted Tumbleweed, an RMC wooden coaster, opened in 2013, along with a shiny new entrance, replacing the original entrance the park opened with.

SCR226.BMP

A full view of the new entrance. The zero g roll is 100 feet tall.

SCR227.BMP

People are flocking, even from Camp Snoopy, to ride this 3 inversion woodie!

SCR228.BMP

The queue is getting very long.

SCR230.BMP

The queue has actually gotten full! This has never happened in park history!

SCR229.BMP

A train begins the 145 foot climb. Twisted Tumbleweed is the tallest and fastest coaster in the park.

SCR231.BMP

This train plunges down the 90 degree drop, the first of its kind on a wooden coaster.

SCR232.BMP

Riders then whirl over the park entrance in the zero g roll.

SCR233.BMP

Afterwards, trains dash through a high speed, near ground curve frenzy.

SCR234.BMP

Then, it goes through the first overbanked curve.

SCR235.BMP

After a drop, it speeds through a wave turn.

SCR236.BMP

Riders will then go around a helix, which is under the lift hill.

SCR237.BMP

Trains then spiral into the double barrel roll finale.

SCR238.BMP

The final overview. I hope you all enjoyed the park as it traveled through the timeline! Until next time...

Who said the timeline has to end in 2013?

Anyways, I like your top spin, though I really didn't notice anything with the refurbishment of the rides.

Also, the RMC coaster seems to get a lot of inspiration from something...

Um, maybe I might do some updates but for now I said it.

I promise the rides are refurbished.

And shhhh...
