Retro_Gaga Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Hi Alvey's! I'm currently planning a trip to Dubai for some work but I have a bit of leisure time. While there I was hoping to squeeze in a few credits and parks. My time is limited however so I will only be able to do a few things. My question is, in your personal opinion, what are the top parks/attractions in Dubai that someone should visit? What are standouts and what can be skipped? The trip is taking place in the Fall of 2013. Thanks so much for the help!
SharkTums Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Do you need to stay in Dubai or can you go the 80ish miles over to Abu Dhabi? Obviously the biggest park to hit is Ferrari World, after that I would recommend the Dubai Mall, the two water parks (Aquaventure, Wild Wadi), then maybe the FEC's in Sharjah.
Retro_Gaga Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 I have to stay within the Dubai area so the 80mi out wouldn't work. I was wondering about the water parks. Are they crowded normally? Or do-able in a day or two?
SharkTums Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 ^It depends when you're going, and what day of week. 'Fall' is pretty vague. You also have to check local as well as European and Australian holidays as those will impact the parks quite a bit. I would recommend doing both water parks on two separate days, just in case they're crowded and you have time to appreciate them both. Heck, you can pair them each with Skiing or the Sega Park!
robbalvey Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I have to stay within the Dubai area so the 80mi out wouldn't work. The way the taxi drivers drive, it's probably only an hour trip out to Ferrari World, and taxis aren't insanely priced either. I guess it just depends on how close you want to be to the worlds fastest roller coaster and not ride it. (Trust me, I know the feeling!)
