Noporian Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Please share your opinions. I know that a ride operator died in Power park, finland when operating a giant frisbee ride. A kids cap fell off onto the platform and the op decided to get it for some reason. When it swung past she took the cap, but wasn't fast enough to leave or lie down. She got splatted by the pendulum. I think it was a cause of stupidity as most are. R.I.P. victims.

ArundelHigh Coasters Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Just recently, a 14 year old girl fell off a drop-tower at Hopi Hari in Brazil, when her restraint opened, and I thought that it was really sad that someone that young lost her life.
Noporian Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 If the ride was called Tornado, Wikipedia says the ride op was recovering a shoe. Not tornado. Typhoon. But i think it was very close to that Thanks for posting. I sometimes get sad that everything kills people. But it's luckily still one of the lowest possibilities to die in theme parks-
WFChris Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 How about the guy (years and years ago) who tried to sneak into Grad Night at DL via the Monorail Beam. He saw the train coming so he laid down on the side panel thinking he'd be safe. Well, the train only travels about 3 inches above that and he was struck and dragged several yards. Back then there were no fail-safes that stopped the train automatically in the event of an accident. Or the guy hopping between people-mover cars and fell between two of them only to be dragged several hundred feet (once again, no emergency brakes back then) before the ride was eventually stopped by a CM. Those are the best, mostly because they are at the Happiest Place on Earth.
