DiSab
Are we still trying to argue that Maverick is rough/painful? If you want rough, go next door and ride mean Streak at closing time with about 3 other people on the train with you. That's rough. Maverick is hardly that. Is it intense? Sure. Can it be painful? I guess... But rough?? No way. You just have to loosen up and ride with the coaster. If you try to ride Maverick (or any other coaster, for that matter) tensed up and stiff as a board, it's going to kick your ass. But loosen up and go with the flow, and you'll be perfectly fine. Coaster_Fanatic
^^Because all of us Americans are too spoiled with super smooth coasters. If all coasters here were rough, I'm pretty sure no one would complain about certain rides being smoother/rougher than others.
Sir Clinksalot
I haven't ridden Maverick but have ridden a few rides with the same restraints as it. I think they would all benefit from the I305 restraints as I found them very comfortable. As for graying out, I had no such issues on I305. The only ride I consistently have that issue with is Goliath.
mightypotato
How do people think Maverick is rough? When I last rode it (granted, that was in 2010), it was still smooth. You may get a wack or two, but that's from quick transitions, rather than roughness. That said, I305 is smooth too. You might get thrown around a bit in the quick twisty snaps (which are awesome and fun). But...like someone else said, loosen up and go with the flow. You'll enjoy both rides immensely.
