XYZ
Hello TPR members, After being on this website for over a year, I have never done a photo trip report before. Now, I am doing my 1st trip report and following trip reports in a series called XYZ's Epic Adventures. It will be like threads that Skycoastin' Steve, cfc, and others have done where I submit a new trip report each time I visit an amusement park. Well, here it goes. Page 1 - Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (below) Page 1 - Legoland California Miniland Page 1 - Legoland California I just want to put down that I did some minor editing to this pictures by making them a little brighter and a little more saturated to make them look better. If there are any problems, please PM me. We'll start this trip report with a Medusa photo, but some weird people like to see the journey to the park, so we'll go with the journey. Going through the Sunol Grade. It's very exciting. Going down the Sunol Grade, again very exciting. Random sign. Larry likes this. This is supposedly the only zeppelin you can ride in the US and it goes around San Jose, the East Bay, and some other places. Oh noes! Toll road. These are some ships, I think from WWII and they are just sitting here waiting to be scrapped. Kind of sad. Give me some money! Bridge enthusiasts rejoice! Three bridges, one photo! Superman! So close to being open. Medusa strangling Sky Screamer. This is very normal. V2.2.2.2.2.2... Roar being Roar. Cobra & Ride of Pain. Roar, Superman, and lockers too. This is a photo of a mohawk. Twisty! Twisty! Hi Robb. This is a photo of a net. If you're wandering what the weather was that day, well it was raining in the morning. Yep, a rainy day in the California summer. Yes, all the previous photos were taken outside the park. All Intamin fanboys will make this photo their desktop background. Porthole Funnel Cakes. OK... Hang time! Cigarette Enthusiasts - Not Happy. A San Franciscan Giraffe. A San Franciscan Elephant. Ah! My eyes are bleeding from the Falling Eyes advertisement. If Robb was riding this, there will be a 70% chance of him saying Weee! I'll end this part of the trip report with this zoomed in photo of Medusa! Edited January 25, 2013 by XYZ
molemaster43
Nice Photo TR. I thought the pictures were really nice and some of the angles were awesome. Keep it up with the awesome PTRs.
XYZ
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom: Part 2 I wasn't able to get all of my photos in yesterday since the Library closed, so here are the remaining images: We'll start this part of the trip report with Medusa's infamous element: The Sea Serpent Roll. I can feel the pain! Sky Screamer is upstaging Medusa in this photo. Medusa is not happy, turn the star flyer to stone! Where's the Vertical Velocity? I personally think this is an amazing photo of three coaster hills. Look at this picture for 5 more seconds. Sky Screamer, do super attack on Medusa! Elephant time! The elephant didn't like the show, so he left. See, the elephant is part of the audience. Hey, elephant! That's my seat. That zookeeper in the back should learn an important lesson. Never go behind a wild animal. I hope this elephant won't rampage. Guest 491 - Mountain Lion 1 looks furious. Prepare to get wet! What are you looking at? This camera hates focusing on butterflies. Random butterfly info. Dolphin time! There is a law that every Superman coaster has to be epic, like how all looping coasters need to have OTSRs. Also, there is a law that every Superman coaster needs a Superman logo at the enterance. Very strict laws... The final picture of the trip report. No more SFDK photos. Comments wanted! XYZ
XYZ's Epic Adventures continues! These are unedited, raw photos. I managed to get over 400 photos of Legoland California's Miniland. Of course, I'm not posting all 400+, so I'm posting 103 of them. Enjoy! Welcome to San Francisco! Oh wait, this is Miniland... Carousel Credit! Ever have those days when you feel like you're a crab stuck to a sign? Chocolate makers must call clock makers! Trivia: What restaurant is in this building? Winner gets a free online cookie! Why is it not golden? Working class Americans. While we are lazy watching this picture of people working... A little fun fact is those small victorian buildings found in every SF souvenir photo are called the Painted Ladies. They are located right next to Alamo Square. Where have you seen the Statue of Liberty hanging out with a lion sitting on top of the Golden Gate Bridge? Big firehose. Some action happening in the right side. Oh no! The Chinese have taken over Griffith Park! Run for your lives! I never knew little girls were SO interested in Mission San Luis Rey. Da back of the San Francisco skyline. My dream house - To live right next to a swamp filled with alligators and to have hot, humid summers. Doesn't sound too dreamy now... Many of you don't know that the New Orleans Miniland model was recently renovated. Look at that nice new red bricks. Drooling... I'm a bird, plane, & Superman. Look at these aerial pictures I took. In Evil Voice: "What are you looking at?" The French Quarter building found in all the French Quarter postcards. Starfleet command, we have teleported ourselves to Paris. Washington Monument Wannabe #1 My friend, Spiderman, took this photo from a top of a building. True story. What michevious plan did the Joker cook up? Oh now I know what the Joker did. The Lever House is one of the first glass box skyscrapers. It actually looks good in real life. Sooper Dooper Zoomed photo of the old design of the Freedom Tower. My friends Superman, Spiderman, and the Washington Monument Wannabe all helped in the making of this photo. And advertisements just have to be everywhere... The Helmsley Building. Park Avenue goes right through this building. Seriously. Another Spidey shot. Washington Monument Wannabe #2 Contributed by Spiderman, Superman, and the Washington Monument Wannabes "Behind" the Toilet Seat. hehe One of the very few angles that make the Freedom Tower look good. Zoom! Zoom! (mazda) A bland building. Moving on... Now for the short city tour of New York City. Here's the Chrysler Building & Citigroup Center. General Motors Building. Lincoln Building. One New York Plaza. Paramount Building. Old Design of Freedom Tower (now called One World Trade Center) This is the last New York Miniland photo. Everyone start weeping! Don't be sad, we're in Vegas now! I wonder what hotel this is? Does Jeff Johnson count this as a credit? Washington Monument Wannabe #3 It's bigger than the Disneyland castle... I wonder why nobody takes photos of the sides of signs... Something is wrong... Hey! Bikini lady! Go defeat the Joker on the Empire State Building. Ya, I'm talking about the real one, not the Vegas mini version. No, Disney fanboys, this isn't the Pirates of the Caribbean hotel. 2 Chrysler Buildings, 1 Photo Edited September 7, 2012 by XYZ
XYZ
Continued... A miniature version of the miniature version of the Empire State Building. This New York skyline isn't as good as the one a few hundred feet away... Even LEGO models help eachother out. I think the Eiffel Tower looks a little out of place... Miniland USA needs no International cities, Las Vegas Miniland already has Egypt, Medieval Europe, Paris, & Venice. Another ad... This looks so much more epic than the Death Star. Help me piggyback riders! Old man marrying young lady, only happens in Vegas! Merlin Entertainment really likes to advertise themselves... Ironically, this is the last Las Vegas Miniland photo. Alex is happy there are no more Las Vegas Miniland photos. I lied. More New York Miniland photos! Someone forgot "City" in Radio City Hall Another carousel credit. I think Laura would really enjoy Miniland. On the Intamin Vertical Lift. hehe Sooper Dooper Random Photo!!! Some TPR member is geeking out... Oops (That TPR member is angry!) Give me a cookie! So close... Starfleet Command, Warp Speed! Someone is in a sticky situation... Bad, doggie, bad! Kit Fist-in-your-face. E.T. with big ears. Excuse me, where is the bathroom? Seriously, this is the infamous Bush Man of San Francisco. Hey! Larry! I wonder what city this is... Sewer man! MUST see Obama! National Archives. This is where the Declaration of Independence & Constitution live. Someone feels sick. Is Miniland ADA approved? These rowers are creating awareness for Breast Cancer. Someone else feels sick. PUSH! PUSH! PUSH! No comment needed. OH MY GOSH! IT IS OBAMA! [insert girl shrieking because of Justin Bieber] Seriously, what's with all the sewer people? Hi Mr. Clown! Hi Uncle Sam! Uh, Uncle Sam, what are you doing? Washington Monument Wannabe #4. Wait, oops. Reef Blower. Technic Coaster is a Eurofighter... Random San Francisco photo. Where in Miniland is this bathtub and toilet? Winner gets a free internet cookie! Up. Ironically, this is the last photo. XYZ
Another trip report on XYZ's Epic Adventures! This is Legoland California except there are no Miniland photos. Why? Well, obviously you can view them on my last trip report above this post. So, here it is: Welcome to Legoland! Kid Power Towers. Way better than Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom. Elephants have built-in squirt guns. Jeff Johnson credit! I'm being super honest here, Coastersaurus in the back seat is a much better drop than Goliath (SFMM). Larry will be happy for the rest of the day because I found him a new sign. However, my favorite attraction at Dino Island is the Litter Box Play Area. You will find a lot of goodies in the sand! Daddy, look at that broken animatronic! Forget about all those stupid rock bands, these rocks make the greatest rock band in the history of rocks! Wally World reference! Why are they called Kid Power Towers? They should be called Adult Power Towers. I wonder why the yellow tower isn't open... HOLY VEKOMA! That wait time is SO long, it makes Radiator Springs Racers opening weekend seem like a walk on. On Forbes.com where they list everything, they listed Fun Town as the "Most Boring City in America". I must read the MPG of this car. Though, it's not Miles per Gallon, it's Blocks per Gallon. It's a bit odd that this sign is pointing east. Kids are amazing drivers. Well, until they crash, go through red lights, go the wrong way, hit other cars, get stuck in the middle of the road, and do illegal u-turns. Such amazing drivers. ROOSTER!!!! I love roosters! Hey kids, I'm a fireman. If you kids misbehave, I'll wet your pants with this firehose. At Adventurers' Club, you try to find keys. Here's a key. Key. Key. Key. Key. HEY!! STOP LOOKING AT KEYS!!! Key. Yay! We found all the keys! Now go buy some useless stuff that will end up in the garbage to increase Legoland's profits! Please do it, I want to see an Intamin giga coaster next year. OH MY GOSH!! It's a LEGO brick! One angry clock. Ooh! Park maps! These need to be put on the map trade pronto! Skipper School traffic jam! Feliz Navidad. Feed me your children! Deformed snowman. HOLY MOUNT BAKER! IT'S ZAMPERLA TRACK! And the coaster enthusiasts go wild! It's a shark! Obviously, it won't eat me. OH NO! I HAVE BEEN EATEN! Even that guy over there looks concerned. Beer and drunk people at a family park! I HATE TREES! Splash Battle was very popular today. OH NO! I'm going to get wet! (Or will I?) This word needs to be censored NOW! There are kids looking at this trip report. That's better. Ah, the beauty. Birds chirping, the leaves ruffling, and people frustrated at mini golf. Such a calm place. ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! Thank you bear for disturbing the peace! Some owls go on the short bus... Today is the busiest day at Legoland, I mean just look at all those people! Stick through the trees. RODENT! Where's the McDonald's? LEGO water! They need to sell this at Walmart. Ooh! It's a storm drain, I mean a wishing well. Woah! The bear can walk on water. He must be the Jesus of bears. Granny's Overrated Fries. My smell cleared the area. Run people run! Run faster! Prize Every Time. LIARS! Pigbutt. Children, shield your eyes. Pigbutt will come in your nightmares! Yep, this one is bigger than the one at Disneyland. Helix around the trees!!! ACEr #1 ACEr #2 ACEr #3 WHAT A LONG LINE!! KidPower Tower has a 5 minute wait and Dragon has a 10 minute wait, forget about Disneyland, Legoland has the longest lines. R.I.P. Founder of ACE Lift hill enthusiasts! Rejoice! Forget about through the trees. This is through the trees & fence! Oh really. Batman! Walking through the Spellbreaker queue. I heard Spellbreaker has a line that takes FOREVER. OOH! A HUMAN TO EAT! YUM! I'm going to eat you now. You can't ride Knight's Tournament if you have a cell phone in your heart. Spellbreaker footer #1 Spellbreaker footer #2 Spellbreaker footer #3 Where is everyone? I was just looking at Spellbreaker footers and then everyone disappeared... Oh no! I must be the last person on Earth. OH NO! I can't see anyone! I need people!!! Yeah, I'm definitely the last person on Earth. YAY! PEOPLE! And a bird's eye view of Miniland Washington D.C. Ooh! It's the Capitol! Flying into San Francisco. Is it Star Tours Miniland or Star Trek Miniland? King Elvis. ARNOLD! Someone doesn't like Arnold... This is a stupid person. Pavarotti! Best feature of Pavarotti. This guy made music for the deaf. Winston Churchill. Beer, drunk people, pigbutt, and CIGARS all in a family park. Molemaster. Bow down to your king! I'm sure this is Dan friendly. XYZ
I got to my maximum photos in a post, so here's Legoland California continued! Let's have fun and be dangerous! Sorry ACErs, you can't ride. I think I'm tall enough. These tea cups are spinning EXTREMELY fast! The coaster of many names. It can be called Project X, Technic Test Track, Project X Technic Test Track, LEGO Project X, LEGO Technic Coaster, LEGO Project X Technic Test Track, LEGO Technic Test Track, Test Track, X-Factor: The Ride, or just Technic Coaster. SFMM fanboys unite! Ooh! A coaster photo! What an EXTREMELY TINY drop. Wild mouse turn!!! NO PHOTOS ALLOWED! Now some Technic Coaster drop reactions. The guy in the front thinks "Ah, what a nice calm view" I swallow flies. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the TPR train. Lift hill through the trees!!!! From their mammoth size, ACErs can carry a lot of cargo. Gimme your children! One angry donkey. I spy a good Vekoma. WOW! Lost Kingdom Adventure is a walk-on. YES! Technic Coaster & Dragon in one photo. OH MY GOSH! I FOUND A HIDDEN MICKEY!!!! I am the knight who slayed the dragon and I'm here to give a victorious speech in front of a large crowd. What a massive crowd! The ACErs must've gone to their buffet. Royal Joust track!!!!!!!! Legoland is very scenic. Plants have taken over the lighthouse!!! This should be a postcard. This is what Las Vegas will look like in 50 years due to the booming economy in Vegas. Einstein has a big nose. Where kids waste their whole day playing video games. What a busy day today! I'm cross-eyed. I would love to sleep in a room with a monkey. And this is the last photo! Comments wanted! Thanks for reading and watching all this madness!
