nitro4ever Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) -May, 1976 Hello, my name Ron Harrolds. I am in charge of the construction of a new amusement park off route 78 in New Jersey. It will most likely be named Garden State Adventures but that is still subject to change. When it opens it will feature state of the art thrill rides as well as smaller attractions for younger children. Some of the main attractions will be a roller coaster (named Jersey Devil) that dives into a turn just above the parks central lake, the longest log flume in the world and a parachute tower. Construction is scheduled to start next month, will keep you updated on the latest developments on the project. So far the company I work for and is building the park (Nitroforever Inc.) has only permitted me to release a small bit of the extensive concept art we have been making over the past few months. A few drawings of the jersey devil coaster. the drop over the lake The lakefront pavilion, we plan to have shows and events on it The island in the center of the lake, this is what it will look like when the landscaping is complete Jersey Devils queue and station, the entire park will be elaborately landcaped jersey Devil.... see you soon, Ron Harrolds Edited February 11, 2012 by nitro4ever
australianalex Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Park looks beautiful, will Jersey Devil have a proper station though? Im not a fan of open stations. Other than that the park looks fantastic.
nitro4ever Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 Thanks, and yes the station will have a roof, I'm just not sure what set I'm going to use yet. Its hard to decide when you have cs sets that you have never even used. Also if you noticed, Jersey Devils train is the default colors, I forgot to recolor it to my planned black, red, and grey color scheme.
galindoverhere Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 This is a really nice park!! I really like the scenery and the park throughout, so keep it up! What shows are you planning to do in the pavilion anyways? Sounds interesting...
liftsifter Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Lots of potential here! Can't wait to see more! Tip: Change the color of the footer cement to a gray or white.
nitro4ever Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 ^Thanks for reminding me, I need to change the footers' color. ^^still not really sure on what shows I'm going to but there, I haven't really thought the whole thing through.
I305KD Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Well, I found another I305 fan. But, the park looks really great. I think you should add billboards. Looks great though!
nitro4ever Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 -July, 1976 A lot of work has been done on the park in the last 2 months. For the past few weeks I have had the pleasure of being head of the parks construction and watching the park take shape. I have been busy making sure the workers are doing what they're supposed to but yesterday was Independence Day and we let the crews have a day off. I decided to come down to the site in the morning and take pictures of some of the areas that are completed. Jersey Devil is pretty much done. This is part of the Wild Frontier section of the park, you can see the splash pool for our state of the art log flume, the back of frontier restrooms, and a lot of fresh concrete. Another photo in Wild Frontier, this one is on the other side of Log Flume's splashpool. Frontier restrooms, Log Flume's station is behind the trees on the right. Jersey Devil's turn over the lake, taken from the lakefront pavilion. We haven't taken the scaffolding off the main entrance yet, it should be off by the weekend. A worker took this photo flying over in a plane, there's an airport near by, that's why the plane is so low.. Thats all for now, Main Street should be done by the next update as well as some signage that hasn't been installed yet. -see you soon, Ron...
coastercrazy 9 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 First of all, props for giving my home state some respect! Really, really great park so far. Very realistic, keeps the time period in mind, and it has a lot of potential. One thing that I noticed was that it is opening two years after Great Adventure (Enchanted Forest). Throughout the timeline will there be any friendly competition?
nitro4ever Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 I haven't really planned this whole thing out yet but the friendly competition with SFGAdv sounds like a good idea....... It would make for an interesting storyline
SoCalCoasters Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Use the option txt. Cheat so you can place the log ride one more tile down into the water. Looking nice so far, small and quaint.
nitro4ever Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 I went into the park today to do some more work on it and when the file opened there were these flashes of all the different textures used in the park. Things would also disappear for short periods of time, this all mostly happened when I moved my camera angle, but there were also some flashes when the camera was steady though. It seemed that the closer I scrolled in the less flashing there was. Does anyone know what's going on with my game and how to fix it? Is it just that my file is too big? This park can't continue when the park looks like a picture of a fireworks display.
MayTheGForceBeWithYou Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Right when the file opened? Okay, I think I had the same problem, and it has an easy solution. With the description you gave, there may have been issues in the loading cycle. Quit the game and restart it after about a minute. The flashing should be gone after it boots up again.
nitro4ever Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 Wow, I haven't updated this in a long time. I haven't had very much time to work on this lately but I think I'm going to start up again. I'm going to finish this park no matter how many times I get distracted. EDIT: Sorry for the double post but, the above post is really old and if I put this in an edit, it wouldn't make any sense.
