Kings Dominion/Busch Gardens trip

I thought about taking a vacation during spring break down to Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens VA. How crowded can I expect these parks to be during the week? Is this a good time to go or should I try to go during the week in May? How many days should I plan at each park? Any other suggestions for Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens would be greatly appreciated.

^If you have the option for a weekday in May I would take that over Spring Break. You also may have a better chance that any new rides are open and operating, although I'm not sure if dates have been announced for those two parks yet.

 

One day at each park should be fine. Busch Gardens offers a Quick Queue option that is well worth the money if it is crowded.

Triple A will probably give discounted tickets. That's how I buy my Cedar Point tickets.
