stereohead Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 For my first ever TR i decided to use the pictures I took of Europa Park. While in Europe I managed to get to 4 parks (Thorpe Park, Disney Studios Paris, Disneyland Paris, and Europa Park). The pictures only come from Europa Park because of a problem I have been having with my camera. The pictures found in this report are of poor quality due to them being taken on an iphone. The day I had at Europa park was probably the best you could ask for at a large park. It was cool all day and for the most part overcast. The threat of possible rainfall kept the crowds down all day. The longest wait I had was about 40 minutes for Silver Star. The rides were also fantastic... especially Blue Fire. While the other coasters were great Blue Fire far out shined the rest, making the park more complete although it needs another big attraction to really round out the lineup. Hopefully the new woodie will accomplish this. Never mind the bollocks, here's the TR... The main entrance to the best park in the world (in my opinion). First credit of the day was Eurosat. German translation: "Drop your pants and prepare to be probed" Silver Star ran great when I was there. I think that people may underrate it, but that's just my opinion. For the nerds. Poseidon was next. Going down! Double lifthill shot! well... sorta. The good side of a horse. Outward into the void. Matterhorn Blitz ahead! At Matterhorn Blitz I said hello to a couple of close relatives... The pig And the cow The ride is nicely themed for a wild mouse... and the elevator lift was also quite interesting. The Log Flumes' station. At Alpenexpress, Ötzi was having a bad day. Blue Fire... the best coaster at the park by far. Failed station shot. Atlantica Supersplash had superb theming. Big splash. Precursor to Hitler or an explorer? You decide! For the nerds (part deux). This has probably already been posted, but here is the model of the new resort that is coming, modeled after the New England coast: Euro-Mir is as good as everyone says. The part in the main silo is especially great. My favorite picture... Me taking a picture of Euro-Mir. Food-Loop was fantastic as well. They even had my "throne" in the bathroom in England! Schiweizer Bobban was the last credit. Short, but fun ride. The Ibex approves of the ride. On my way out I said goodbye to EuroMaus. All in all, Europa Park has to be the best park I have ever been too. In terms of thrills Europa Park is far better than any Disney park, and is right up there with theming as well. I hope that everyone enjoys this TR.
1pizza14 Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I LOVED Europa Park when I first visited 2 weeks ago. My only complaint was that the Hotel Andeluz has no AC and it was a scorching day/night. The park is amazing and I loved Eurosat the most. Glad you had a great time
loomerds Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I had one of the best days of my life at Europa Park this summer with my son and wife. Great park, and great job of capturing and sharing its essence. It's just like I remember it.
Team Thriller Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Being as I move back to the states tomorrow, Europa Park is one of the things I'm going to miss the most. I grew up going to this park for the past 5 to 6 years!! I'm glad you had a great time! --James
The SETGO Guys Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I can never get enough photos of this park! It looks great! Also, that new hotel. Looks very simular to some of Disney's Hotels. Its a mix between: Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Disney's Yacht Club Resort, but it looks very nice! (I attached a picture of all three resorts, from the Disney website) Disney's Beach Club Resort Disney's BoardWalk Inn Disney's Yacht Club Resort
stereohead Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 If the park can make the hotel up to par with any of those three Disney hotels, that would be awesome. I just think its odd that they decided to go with the New England theme for the hotel, seeing as it is Europa Park.
