Six Flags Enthuseast
I saw an article on TPR from 2 years ago talking about a new park in Molfetta, Italy called Miragica. It was built by Alfa Parks, a company in Italy that recently completed Rainbow Magicland, its second park. Its standout attractions include a mini Intamin Rocket coaster (Senzafiato), Per Bacco! (a drop tower), and Il Girabugia (a Zamperla Disk'O Coaster). The park happened to be on the same coast as a friend's summer vacation villa, so we managed to stop by Miragica on the way to visit her. We start toward Bari, hoping that the rainy weather would end as we got headed east. "Welcome to Toll Italia. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, watches, and high-value electronics." Translation: The tolls here are pretty expensive. The rain, although lighter, was still with us as we neared the park. Il Girabugia, the rapids ride, and the log flume. Per Bacco! and part of Senzafiato. The ticket booth. 60's, 70's, and 80's music? Sounds like the kind of thing we might enjoy! There was a buy 2, get 1 free deal, so we got in for a pretty good price! The entrance plaza. Simple, but pretty neat. Samy is the park's mascot. He's a giant, and I guess Miragica is where he goes to have fun! My internet connection is really slow at the moment, so I'll stop for now. Part 2 to come soon! Six Flags Enthuseast
Part 2 Euro penny machine, just like at Rainbow Magicland. Very simple park map. A simple fountain, also just like RML. Fast Pass ad in the gift shop entrance. Yay, it's operating even in the rain! The Foto is a lie! Random prize games. Playground. Senzafiato translates to Breathless. The sign ahead says 30 minute wait from there... Slow operations + 1 train = Long wait Ready to go? It's a pretty quick ride. It hits this bank at a reasonable speed. I like me some Intamin wheel assembly! Note the lack of the cover panel on the back left seat. 5sx.... what could it mean? Writing on the wall... All it means is that some people happened to have pens or markers while waiting in line. They seemed to enjoy their ride! "Hey, bartender! Over here! What does a guy have to do to get a drink around here?" This system is pretty annoying now; the ride operators don't let you into the station before the train unloads and it only lets 11 people in at a time. Ready to ride! I rode in the front seat for my first ride, and it was great! Let's try the back. Onride shot! (Except mom was buckling her seat belt, so she didn't look up) Dad got a few shots of me riding. Senzafiato through the trees! Part 3 to (hopefully) come later on today. Thanks for reading!
Six Flags Enthuseast
I'm sorry for the delay in posting the TR. Now that my computer is finally working, I'll start Part 3. Here's the POV I took while riding Senzafiato for the first time. After I rode Senzafiato 5 times in a row, we decided to get something to eat at this restaurant. Rolls, and a sign that tells you not to consume outside food in this restaurant. Pizza menu. Windows with so much mist, you can't see the food clearly! Watermelon, and lots of it! PAAAASSSTAAAAA! I couldn't get a very smooth translation for this sign, but I think it says something along the lines of, 'Choose your piece of meat and have it grilled.' Interesting condiments... Our me- WAIT! Pepper please! There we go. Our *COMPLETE* meal. Mom loved the awesome giant napkins! They're actually napkins like you'd expect to see at an American park instead of the very thin plastic like you usually get at most Italian cafes. Detailed back supports on the chairs. The second day is free! Buy a wristband and bring it back tomorrow. Samy's footprints are spread around the park. Interesting giant-dude taking a bath that you can walk ontop of. "Giant dude? What giant dude? I don't see anything like that.... just these rocks..." It's like a doll house that's been supersized! Hot or cold? You decide! I like foot! Blue and green. Alfa Parks really likes these pull towers. I seem to have the issue with my PC fixed, so I'll try to post Part 4 tomorrow. Thanks for reading! =D
Six Flags Enthuseast
Part 4 Frog hopper time! Ready to conquer the park's 3rd tallest drop tower! Bouncy bouncy! Knock the bottles down and get a Tigger! Kiddie train ride that circles the spinning wild mouse. Next up is Kappao, the park's boxing themed Zamperla Kangabounce ride. Mom decides to ride with me. Little did she know that she'd enjoy the ride as much as I did! Boing! We decide to ride a second time. We had a great time! Time for Per Bacco! A tall tower, this be. These people are about to be launched up! Our turn! The restraints are air powered and have to be manually locked/unlocked, just like on those S&S Sky Sling rides! Looking straight up from inside the station. Thanks to Felice and Domenico for giving us some awesome rides! Medical cart credit! Next up is the spinning wild mouse! Sign credit! Spinning-mouse-through-the-trees! Gelateria is all out of gelato! Another one of those claw games! Did I enjoy the spinning mouse? Find out in Part 5! Six Flags Enthuseast
Part 5 lo Spaccatempo, the Splits Time in Italian. They should've let people through more often. We sat for almost 20 minutes before they let us go! "They're watching us.... that sign to my right says so!" Please let us through soon! You're out of people on standby! Train tracks. This bridge is slippery when wet! The theming makes you feel pretty big!... like you're a giant... Lift-hill shot! I wasn't allowed to take a POV, but I enjoyed the ride! These people seemed to have had a good time as well! That thing stays up at the top for a LONG time before it falls! Poncho! Cheater! It prints the same kind of photos out as the one at Rainbow Magicland. Nutella Crepe time! I <3 crepes, too! Dad gets an ice cream, mom gets some gelato, and I get an infamous Nutella crepe! We begin hearing some crazy thunder and feeling rain. People are going on the flume even in the rain! It wasn't too hard to fill up the cup quickly with all of the runoff from the little flaps above our seats! Group shot! Rapids ride. "Let's wait inside until the rain stops." After the rain calmed down slightly, we decided to ride the Disk'O Coaster. Couldn't find a proper translation for this. I don't think it'd take THAT long from here! Whoosh! Almost there... There we go. Aww, it broke. That's a big ramp! Looks like the candle burned the roof. They fit like peas in a pod.... wait a minute... they ARE peas in a pod! Wouldn't wanna ride in that seat... How was my ride? Find out in Part 6!
wesley815
Great report and pics, looks like an interesting park. Looking forward to part 6!
Six Flags Enthuseast
Part 6 Onride video from il Girabugia: It was a fun ride, but holy crap did we get wet! R/C boat thingies. They weren't exactly in 'Ship Shape'. Boat #2 is hiding! We check out the gift shop. There's as much Samy here as there was Rainbow Cat at Rainbow Magicland! Dad likes this waterproof bag. Useful for rainy days like today. We couldn't find the name of this bird anywhere! Dad checkin' out the water guns. "Come near me, and I'll soak your face!" So many polos... which one should I get? I decided to get this one. I wish they would've had a good t-shirt, though. Fridge magnets, snow globes, coffee cups, oh my! Buy a towel and get Samy free? Bottle openers and more magnets. Springy springy spring-a-ling-ding! This gift shop has almost as many magnets as Shock's launch track! Cigarette lighters. What the truck is going on here? TPR's Brit-Crew is rejoicing! These trees are REALLY spiky! Make sure not to fall into or punch them! This is like a mini version of Superman: Escape at Movie World Australia! Too bad the rain has it down. Soaked-Gangsta pose! This sign has seen better days.... I see more footprints... It's testing! The launch section is ridiculously short! I forget how fast this ride goes, but it reaches its top speed in only 2.2 seconds! Silky smooth. Nice curves! I like bolt! A total of 8 rides on Senzafiato, 4 on Per Bacco!, 3 on Tritatutto, 2 on Kappao, 1 on il Girabugia, and 1 on lo Spaccatempo finish me off for the day. Goodbye, entrance fountains! Over the top! I was waiting for a train to cycle through to get the perfect shot... Per Bacco! cycled a few times. And of course it ends up a bit blurry. Wheeeee! Through the twist. All done. And so we continue on our road... Thanks for reading!
the ghost
Actually very good and detailed TR... you trs have improved A LOT since you first "got here." That mini rocket is so bad ass... it's so tiny but probably packed full of Intamin goodness... which is awesome even in very small doses! Also this is one of those kinda rare TR's from a park I've never heard of... and this one looks quite nice! Very good job!
Six Flags Enthuseast
^Thank you very much! It's feedback from people like you that has helped make me better! Senzafiato is a fantastic little coaster. The launch is about as long as Xcelerator's, but not quite as intense. The whole layout is awesome; the 'mini' top-hat has a little air in the front and back, each turn is relatively intense, and the banked corner at the end is pretty fun. It's very rerideable! The SETGO Guys
This looks like a nice little park. It seems like it is in need of another "Anchor" attraction, that there wouldn't really be enough to do. I do like the theme. Are these parks based on a franchise? (To me kinda look likes a Tinkerbell Fairy land type theme.) Great pictures! Can't wait to see more of these little parks from Italy. -Zach
Six Flags Enthuseast
^I agree that Miragica could certainly use another major attraction to make it a more 'complete' park. However, it's a pretty new park that sits on a small area of land, and I think it's unlikely that it'll get a new attraction anytime soon. Based on what I've seen, none of the Alfa Parks have a branded theme, but they do have park mascots and general themes. Miragica has a few mascots (Samy, Lily, and the bird with no name, among others) and is themed to a 'Giantland' where Samy and his friends go to have fun.
