Kooky Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 So after a long time i took 2 friends and we went to our home park EuropaPark! This day the weather was really hot (32 degree celsius) and the park started to get crowded in the noon. That was something we wondered about... When the park opened the max. queue lines were about 10-15 min... but after 12 o´clock the park started to getting crowded. So you have to wait up to 40 minutes on the main rides! I wondered why so many people arrived so late because the park only opened half an hour more, so many people seems to came for 6 hours, which is really little time to enjoy europa. But we had good time in EuropaPark, especially with the coasters: Our first ride in the morning "Silverstar": Runs Great... i mean really great... I mean i begin to like this coaster more than every other in the park. All the mid-course breaks are completly off... really completly off, no breaking at the hills anymore. I just rode it three times that day, everytime in the last row, but hell yeah, your ass lifts up the seats on every hill of the ride... its a little bit rough in the first drop, but that doesn´t change my opinion. I like it more than "BlueFire". So the Park did a really good job in reading the forums and putting the breaks out of work... Hope they won`t change it back again. Next MatterhornBlitz and Poseidon: Both are fun rides, the elevator from MatterhornBlitz adds a lot to this ride, fun costum mouse coaster. Poseidon it`s fun, but really rough.... somtimes i think Europa they should replace some parts of the track, especially in the two dropdown curvy parts... but anyway, sometimes the roughness could be fun too. Bluefire: Fun and smooth as always.... excellent family coaster with less thrill but always a fun one and the imo best restraint system in the world. The other old ladys "EuroSat" and "EuroMIR": Rough but fun like always... In Eurosat the added some theming at the beggining of the lift so when you go around and up the first meters were filled with glowing paintings on the wall. The ride itself, very rough and gives a really extremly uncontrolled feeling that makes this ride so unique... fun but seems to get harder! Maybe that is reason why the park mention that they were thinking about renovating/replacing the track(or parts of it) in the next years. EuroMir its both too: Fun but rough, especially if you ride the second part of the ride backwards... maybe it was because of the really hot weather, but it really began to hurt when we had the feeling that our brain was smashed against our skull. Both of my friends don´t want to ride this one again... but in my opinion still a nice, unique coaster. But now it`s time for some pics: After we rode Silverstar and MatterhornBlitz we went to Poseidon, because it began to get hot in the early morning The Natur around the ride has got beautiful over the last years Random monorail shot A picture i`ve taken from outside the new "FoodLoop" Restaurant, I don´t spend my time there, because i`m a poor student Kaffeetassenfahrt... i know you like fa(h)rts PeterPan boat ride ... and after a random flat ride pic, follows a random arcade/game or whatever pic How you may have recognized, the pictures will come a chaotic disorder, because we were traveling through the park in this way Theming in Europa=Wonderful The second rafting pic... more for rafting fetish guys later You can exit the rapids with the boat in the front, if you are man enough to pull on the rope Time for the new guy... (sorry for the blur, the cam was from wall-markt;-) ) ...station... ... and the entree through the sponsor-hall from gazprom Never heard of rollbacks .... very sadly. When this was built i hoped that i will get it here. But no chance, the coaster travells to fast through this element because i don`t know what to say more about bluefire ( - nice launch and looping coaster with the best restraints and seats in the world imo) I DECIDED to teach you a little german from things seen in the pictures, so first: Wundervoller blauer Himmel - wonderful blue sky Schnelle Fahrt (i know you want this) - Fast driving Überkopf - overhead Angstschweiß - cold sweat Hinterteil - rear part/afterbody/backside/bottom or what ever like to call it Schraubenzieher - screwdriver end of the course makes: Überschall - supersonic.... time for other nasty things ...like two wet ones in one photo: Atlantica in the back and WhaleAdventures in the front more wet things to come... ... but on my way to Atlantica i decided to take some pics from the building area of the new wooden coaster not much to see yet (was on July the 4th)... even not from top of the line from whale adventures heading to the important things: pure wetness, because it was hot, very hot that day over the hill floating airtime... while we waiting for the big splash, we got surprised by a big water fontain, which came out of the big rock... so we got wet before we got really wet see ...i was the person in the back that disappeared in the water random monorail shot 2 ... while standing in the queue from Atlantica in the middle of the Atlantica lake was an high diving show, but i didn`t get a better picture because the queue really moves very fast, cause of the really good operators from Europa Park Final picture of part1... trying to be a little but artsy, but not very much Soon more in the second part with pics from Silverstar, more random theming and the testing of the new DaVinci-Ride. Hope you enjoyed it!
simon8899 Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Nice Photo TR - now nearly 10 years since I was there last. Main problem is that from Hamburg parks like Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen is much closer than Europa Park. Plus there is so little outside the park for me to make a whole holiday.... I guess the poeple comming later were mostly locals with a season-pass - especially off-season always do the more popular rides in the morning.
robinschroder Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Great photos and report! I love Silver Star! Europa Park is such an amazing place - can't wait to return, especially now that they're getting the new GCI!
