Reality15 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Robb and Elissa, I'm trying to decide on a large theme park trip to take next year, and Europe is definately one of the options that I may look into. I have a few questions for you guys: 1. How many parks and coasters were covered? 2. How much per-person would a trip like that cost? 3. Do you need interpreters when you visit the parks, I speak no foreign languages and neither do my friends or family? Thanks, *~* Jon "I'm a proud thin ACE member" Roost
haydawg149 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 i dont think you would need an interpreter, im pretty sure its almost the same as ours, or they either translate the signs . . .(in the park)
SharkTums Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Our Big Europe trip this summer covered: - 26 parks - 100 coasters - 21 days total with all food, souvenirs, parks, tolls, rental car, airfare, everything about $4000 - $4500 a person. (remember that a lot of stuff was split either 4 or 6 ways.) - You do not need interpreters but learn a little bit of each language before you go
BelizeIt Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 ^Wow! 26 parks parks, 100 coasters, in just 21 days! All within a reasonable budget! Can you tell that the Alvey's are Pros!!! Elissa and Robb need to set up their own international coaster travel business! They would be very successful!
MrMorgan Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 hey, i was born in the states, but moved to germany 7 years ago. when i first got here, i spoke very little german, and although it was uncomfortable at times, it was never a big problem. i agree with elissa: learn a little bit of every language before you go to each country. i mean, like, learn at least how to say "i'm sorry, i don't speak...". always be polite when asking someone to speak english, and always say thanks, or danke, or grazi, or gracias, or merci, etc. most people learn english in school, but many have never used it, but don't let the language barrier scare you away from a european vacation.
