coaster-inc Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Hello to all at Theme park review... I thought I would contribute to the community with my model of nemesis that I am making. So, back in December 2007, I got coaster dynamix kits as I wanted to make a scale working model of nemesis… to which though has been on other threads and sites while being built, I forgot to post here, sooooo a lot to look through of how its come to be so far, happy reading and picturing some construction videos as well... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XS82xb-cB54 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=n4pRbpS5HvI [\URL] [\URL] and finally up to date on how its coming along, been a few years work so far, on and off, few problems that were a pain to sort out, but this is what stage its at now. NOW! that was a post of about a year ago, ive come up with a lot of problems while building it and its been sat doing nothing... BUT! new year and new enthusiasm to get it done to which i am, taking all the rails off and seeing as iv found a spray paint that finally sticks to the track im gettnig it all painted properly now... iv got an 8-10 week wait till the rail pack comes in stock so will have to wait till i get them befor it runs again which is a shame but at least itll mean ill get it all done to at least the fully painted track and supports.... once iv done that ill move onto the harder part of landscaping....
crazywolf88 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Wow, I've never noticed how tall nemesis would be without the terrain. Overall good work so far, I'm Just trying to keep your enthusiasm up so you could finish this. Good luck.
andyuk200523 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Not bad at all, if I had any criticism at all, it would be the following..... Lower the height of the Lift Hill and lower the angle of the hill, too steep and too tall!! The first turn off the lift is also angled down too steeply, make the angle more of a shallow angle. The turnaround off the loop, the track leading into it has almost no banking on your model, look at a few POV's of Nemesis, it has more banking than that. Apart from these small bits, it is looking great!!
coaster-inc Posted January 29, 2011 Author Posted January 29, 2011 If I lower the lift height then it wont work at all... gravity doesn’t work the same on the small scale as life size... so no that isn’t gonna happen, and thus the lift angle cant be changed either coz of that...plus i know its not banked in a few sections due to the fact of how hard coaster dynamix is to build with... the plastic doesn’t just bend that easily to have it all perfect, been on the ride enough not to need POV vids to do it... the kits are not designed to recreate coaster layouts due to the fact they can never be the same scale to actually work... (Think the I305 model, and raptor model and so on...) nothing is perfect when building to this scale due to its limitations.
