phillipthehippo
I'd first like to point out again, that it's the Hippo's first TR ever. So, either expectations should be fairly minimal....or really high because I'm a Hippo. And yes, of course the Brown Bear and I followed all the park rules, and got many a strange look from park goers and employees. Apparently, they don't see many fuzzy patrons... Now, on to the photos!! Time to get to packing! All right! Set in our driving bag, on our way to Kennywood!! Ahhhh! Made it to the hotel. Only a 6.5 hour drive from Michigan. Gotta have minty fresh breath for Kennywood!! Oh! I see something huge and green! See! We are here at Kennywood. It's amazing how people look at the Hippo when he asks them to take a photo of him. First stop....food! Bacon and cheese french fires. The Hippo approves of these. The Thunderbolt WE were very upset this ride was closed. As it's one of the few rides we can actually go on. Amusement parks are very "sizeist". NO Brown Bear! That water fountain has TEETH!! Laffin Sal. One of the creepiest things the Hippo has ever seen. Use step? I am. As a seat. Do paws count? How about feet? Of course...more food. Deep fried Oreos are amazing. Sticky Fingers. Enough said. They make those fences too high. The Hippo really wanted to play in the afro fountain. Goodbye Kennywood! It was awesome! The Hippo has to say this was his first "traditional" park. It was a great trip, and both myself and the Brown Bear got to experience old coasters, and some great food and scenery. I'll gladly make the trip again in a few years, it was well worth the drive. and now of course...I leave you with more food photos. Hippo and Brown Bear's first trip to a Sonic! Brown Bear loves the tots! On the way out, we hit Primanti Bros.! Sandwiches with fries and cole slaw on them...sign me up! Thanks again for reading the Hippo's first trip report! robbalvey
I'm partially disturbed by this trip report...yet part of me is also turned on by it. Is that normal?
larrygator
I opened this PTR expecting to be underwhelmed, but was pleasantly surprised. Nice job setting up those pictures, especially the Potato Patch fries shot.
palmerleeberry
You know - after all the photo trip reports I've seen, this has to be by far the weirdest and most original I've ever seen. To answer robbalvey question: I'm partially disturbed by this trip report...yet part of me is also turned on by it. Is that normal? I will have to reply that it must be normal because the same thing happened to me after viewing this photo trip. Before I go, I must say that with the number of photos you had of Hippo and Brown Bear eating, I must say that must be -one heck of a- appetite for two stuffed animals (and that, my friends, cannot be described as normal)! "I can tell you what's not normal: you not lying your head upon me in bed"
Ed Farmer
Well done. Really want to get out to Kennywood. Phantom's Revenge has been at the top of my to-do list since it was built.
phillipthehippo
The Hippo thinks that food at a park is a underappreciated aspect. Sure, it's great to get on amazing rides, but good food just adds a little something. And it's difficult to do a lot of "ride" photos when your subjects are less than a foot tall. robbalvey
^ I think you're tall enough for Jack Rabbit!
phillipthehippo
Yeah, tall enough for the log flume too! Hippo's are the anti-Dan.
