coasterfreak101 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) So I was playing around with Newton2 - I decided that I'd finally learn how to use it - and this short little Intamin came out of it! If you're curious: Height - 210ft / 64m Speed - 74.5mph / 120kph Length - 1682ft / 513m Enjoy! *NOTE: Credit goes to ColdIce from the NL Exchange for the launch/brake fins, and to that folder labeled 'CONSTRUCTION KIT' (author?) for the footers.* coasterfreak101_Unnamed Intamin Rocket.nlpack unnamed_intamin-110106204435000.bmp Edited January 10, 2011 by coasterfreak101

As you said, you played around to learn, how to use Newton2, so the coaster is. EDIT: thank you.. for changing the nltrack into a nlpack! I´m excited, how the next one will be Edited January 10, 2011 by freefallXL
tiger01 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Can we have some more screens please. I'm liking the look of this project!
Richard Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Tophats are bloody hard on Newton2! I can't seem to get a decent shape on them.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 ^Same here! And on the ones that are shaped right, the train either rolls back or crawls over at 1mph.
coasterfreak101 Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 My bad, I packaged everything before I uploaded it to the NL Exchange, but I forgot to change the download here! Give me one second. I think I got the top hat pretty well - I used multi-zones for the entrance and exit, I believe a single-zone for the twist, and a curved section for the top, with a decent-sized lead-in so that it would tighten a bit as the train crested. It could definitely use some tweaking though; I know that the transition from twist to exit is a bit sharp! Thanks all!
