aviadigit Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hey all, I will be in Orlando from the 23rd of April until the 7th of May which is kind of a big deal for me(from Holland), and since it's Easter week(and spring break?) then, I was just wondering how busy it will be. Which parks should I definitely go to in the second week of my visit when it will probably be less crowded? What Disney parks should I visit on which days and will it also be that busy in Busch Gardens? Any other advice you can give me? Also, my family are kind of water ride-haters so are rides like Splash Mountain and Journey to Atlantis -really- wet, or are they ''acceptable''? Thanks! -Julian (and sorry for my bad English)
SharkTums Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 The week before and after Easter at the Orlando parks is just as busy as Christmas week. It's INSANE! Use fastpass at Disney, and be prepared to buy Universal Express and the Sea World/Busch Gardens Quick Queues. They will be your best friend! Splash Mountain is pretty wet due to the splash cannons. Journey to Atlantis is soaked in the front seat, and a little wet in the other seats. The water rides at Islands of Adventure (Rapids and Log Flume) are DRENCHING SOAKING TAKE A SHOWER WET. Jurassic Park other than the first row is very acceptable. The water rides at Busch Gardens are all very wet. Hope this helps!
aviadigit Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 Thanks for the advice! I think I'm gonna save some money for all those Quick Queue and Express passes now . Will the second week after Easter be less crowded?
beatle11 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I visited Disney the week after Easter several years back. The Monday was easily the busiest day. We went to Animal Kingdom that day and it was a madhouse. However, getting their early, and taking advantage of the Fastpass saved us. Test Track Fast Pass at Epcot filled up really quickly and unless you used the single rider line (which I did) it was a 3 hour wait. I know it was a while back and things may have changed a bit. Just be prepared for it to be busy and be hot and humid.
