Redrum237 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I am planning on going to Orlando in May 2011, and was wondering if there are any rides/attractions at Universal Orlando scheduled to be closed for refurbishment at that point. I've looked all over online but have been unable to find any answers (Disney World on the other hand I've found plenty of information related to, in that regard).
CardCraze Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 May is the beginning of the busy season for Amusment Parks (unless you include the one or two weeks of Spring Break). I can't gurantee you, but I would bet money they would not refurbish any rides during April, refurbishment is more likely for January/Febuary.

I don't think Universal Orlando usually announces refurbishes until much closer to the time that the ride will be down. I mean details were sketchy for a long time on when Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge was actually going to close for the makeover. I would wait until spring and then see what you can find posted on the main website or various fan sites.
Blind Idiot God Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Wouldn't be surprised if HRRR is down again.
dandaman Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Well, apparently you can add this to the list. From the UO Facebook page: Hey fans! On April 1, we will close Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast and immediately begin work on an all-new experience based on an amazing concept. The new attraction is just one of many exciting things planned for the next couple of years. Meanwhile, Boy Genius fans will be excited to know that the attraction will re-open for limited periods during the spring and summer before closing permanently on August 18.
BarryH Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 ^Could it be that "Law and Order: The Ride" is finally coming to Universal?
dandaman Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Universal Studios won't open their park if they have sucky rides. A phrase which will never be applied to Fuji-Q.
UberBeavis Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I hope whatever replaces it will still feature the Chicken Dance.
