1997 Sydney Wonderland Park Brochure

So as I mentioned in another thread, Robb recently sent me a box containing some of his personal park maps and brochures. Well with a huge snowstorm hitting the East Coast I was able to scan most and put them in the Park Index. About 150-200 additions over the past two days.

 

One of the older pieces was a 1997 Park Brochure from Wonderland Sydney. The park operated from 1985 to 2004 and during the time of this brochure the park was licnesing to use Hanna Barbera characters.

After visting Mirabilandia this summer it was nice to see a map from 2005 before iSpeed replaced a crappy wooden coaster. 2005 Mirabilandia Map Robb and Elissa sweated through 115 degree weather to bring back this map.

 

 

Over time Robb will be sending me more Park Maps and I'll be scanning them as time permits. I hope you all enjoy the additions.

Interesting to note that Space Probe 7 was at one point the tallest freefall ride in the world! Yet we now have the Giant Drop that is still the tallest. I've rode both of the rides, and I actually found Space Probe to be much scarier than the Giant Drop. I guess it was just the theming and ambiance that gave the ride a build up that just made it a much better ride.
