I am going to hit a few seaside parks on the south coast of England soon and found that there used to be a futuristic dinasour dark ride just outside Clarence pear in Southsea.

The sign is still there but , as far as I know, the ride is long gone.

there is a small amount of info on the web but I just wondered if anyone knew any more about it?

thanks

The upper floor [of the building] was originally used as a public house but in 1994 it was converted into 'Jurassic 3001', a futuristic dinosaur themed dark ride. It closed in 2004, yet all ride signage and theming on the building still remains. The ride was well-known for its animatronic stegosaurus whose head protruded from the side of the building and roared occasionally at passers-by, however this has since been removed.

There you go. It closed in 2004.
