Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 This is an idea mightbeawannabe and I have talked about a bit in the last few days, and I thought it should be presented to anyone who uses Newton2. Wouldn't it be a good idea to post the .newt2 files with our No Limits tracks? I think it would be a great way to help newer users become more proficient with Newton2. You can't see what someone did to accomplish a certain element you may want to create yourself in the editor, at least, not easily. Posting .newt2 files with track releases could be a great way to help eachother with what most consider to be a pretty difficult part of using No Limits! But thats just how I feel, I want to know how the rest of the forum feels about it.
davisal771 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Yes, please. I run into very much trouble when creating a dive loop.
DC High Heat Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 While I see your side of the argument, to me it seems like another case of "hey you do the work of figuring things out, and I'll take the easy way out and copy how you did it."
davisal771 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 ^ I don't think of it like that, I'd use the files to learn how to create elements, as I'm fairly new and I can really only create a few elements. I really run into trouble with things like B&Ms curving drops, I can't seem to get them right. But I do see your side as well, if you don't want your ideas copied, I understand. Especially with some of your creations like Cypher, I would have no idea how to make that Immelmann to Zero-G roll combo thing
mcjaco Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Here's how I'd handle it. If you want to include the file, do it. If you don't. Don't.
