Kraken & Manta Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I would never pay that much to go to this park! Just kidding Love the park, you win for the Pokemon area. I say you should build a zoo or aquarium on the other side.
triggernel Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I don't really like the whole, park right next to a seperate park idea, that everyone seems to be doing these days, so I too suggest a different type of attraction next to the park. Can't wait to see what you build!
CoasterCreator9 Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Hey all, my internet has been down for awhile and just got back up and running so I should have an update later today/tommorrow!
CoasterCreator9 Posted July 29, 2010 Author Posted July 29, 2010 Finally! An update! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Arcadia, work has been done in the sections of land near Wildcat/Jungala. Wildcat was the only ride/attraction in the area for some time, and CDI decided to finally do some work in the vicinity. The first ride to be constructed was the "classic" haunted castle themed dark ride, dubbed The Castle of Phantoms. *CDI Apologizes for any inclement weather, partly due to tropical storm Bonnie. CDI also popped in a cleverly designed river raft ride, where instead of eight-person rafts, guests ride in single person barrel recreations (methusalem's pirate barrel ride) for a wild, wet ride! Two classic midway rides, a Bumper Cars and a double inverter ship snuck into the compact location next to Wildcat. On the shores near the Lancaster Bridge (The main monorail and pedestrian bridge from Arcadia - Sunset Beach/Typhoon Bay.) a small section of boardwalk was filled in with several shops (Boardwalk Eats and Oceanside Sweets) and games (Duck Catch, Target Practice and Panning for Gold) as well as a single drop tower (Seabreeze Screamer). Prizes can be exchanged at the Prizes Counter next to Target Practice. A park guest took this picture... Interesting. Meanwhile.. At the Arcadia/Adventure Shores border.. Hello, my name is Alan Sherman, I am the current CDI representitive for Adventure Shores Resort and Boardwalk. We are making progress at our location across the river from Arcadia. Unlike our "sister park" we will not have different themed sections, customary to most boardwalk parks. Although we hope to be larger than most, and just as - if not MORE - popular than Arcadia. Shall we move on to our pictures? This large building is the Adventure Shores Resort. A beautiful symetrical building with large rooms in each of the wings, as well as two sets of rooms on the sides above each entrance. The building also has an atrium in the center with seating and a bar. We are currently working on contracting for pool construction. A view of one of the entrances with the "Shoreside Gardens" in the lower right of the picture. The other side of the building with outdoor seating and wonderful views. The area around the other side is densely forested. The first floor of the hotel is full of shops and food, along with seating. The halls on the other floors are decorated in themes of different regions, (Asia, European, Mediterranean, Tropical, etc.) and cool views of the central atrium. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ That is all for this update! Comments and critisim are welcome, as always! Next update expect some announcements regarding rides and more!
djbrcace1234 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I think the rapds ride is forced in, but it looks like a nice ride. Also, I love the hotel and the overall architecture in the park. It's just all splendid indded!
Kraken & Manta Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 The hotel looks beautiful! Great colors, and architecture!
dmaxsba2408 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Everything looks great, I do agree about the rapids ride seeming forced. What about leaving the area a lake and using the Pirate Barrel Bumper Boats instead. I also think that castle needs a little ghost. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R05-gRRDDo GHOST.DAT
CoasterCreator9 Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Adventure Shores Resort.... Thanks! It turned out quite well! The hotel looks beautiful! Great colors, and architecture! Thanks! Everything looks great, I do agree about the rapids ride seeming forced. What about leaving the area a lake and using the Pirate Barrel Bumper Boats instead. I also think that castle needs a little ghost. I'm trying to figure out how to do that.. The ghost is perfect. ParkDat-ing now.
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 Hello, Hello! Update time! _______________________________________________________________ CDI (Arcadia Division) has made improvements to the Phantom Castle ride by adding ghost projections: Also, the crammed rapids ride has been turned into a lake with a bumper boat style ride. As you can see here, Adventure Shores has benches, lights and litter bins now, as the boardwalk is sceduled to open this weekend. Guests arriving from Arcadia will encounter some games as they first enter. The first of the flat rides in the park, Winds of Fate. The first coaster built in Adventure Shores, Demon of the Sea, a Vekoma SLC. Another fuller view, the ferris wheel is named Skyrider. Ripcord, the Vekoma vertical shuttle and Raider, an enterprise. Cedar Point isn't the only one now! Adventure Shores has their own quad drop/launch towers! The park's main entrance with one of the Boardwalk Trams passing. Twin double inversion type rides, one more intense, (blue) and one milder. (Red) More games along the boardwalk. Looks like they have work to do before this weekend.. That's all for this update! Enjoy!
djbrcace1234 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 My Goodness! It's a Vekoma Alley. Headbanging to the max! Nice update. I have nothing to ad as it all looks nice, like always.
Dotrobot Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 only complaint i have is that hotel looks undersupported with those porchwalls allthe way around
dmaxsba2408 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 The little ghosts look great. So whats going on with the Monorail track(s) in that second picture? How much of that is funtional? Also I see you switched to Bumper Boats instead of the of Barrel River Rapids ride. I do like the change. Did you not find the Barrel Bumper Boats or did you just decide not to use them. If you couldn't find them I have attached them the post. Love the sea creature in front of the SLC. If that Tram does not have diagonal sections, or 1/4 large truns you can make it invisible and stop the glitching in the parking lot. MetRPir1.DAT

Indeed. Thanks! only complaint i have is that hotel looks undersupported with those porchwalls allthe way around There's plenty of supporting inside. The little ghosts look great. Love the sea creature in front of the SLC. If that Tram does not have diagonal sections, or 1/4 large truns you can make it invisible and stop the glitching in the parking lot. Thanks! About 25% of the switchyard is functional. I simply decided not to use the barrel bumper boats, I thought these looked a bit better. I would have liked to make the tram invisible, but there were two problems: 1. Diagonal sections 2. I wouldn't know what to do for the rest of the track if it was invisible, it would either be traveling on a slope (picture 4), or on the grass.. Anyway, thanks for the comments everyone! Adventure Shores is opening this weekend!
dmaxsba2408 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Not that I really think it needs to be done but for anyone who sees this and wants to do it here is how you do the Tram on track vs on grass. All you would need to do is make the real track invisible and then lower a fake track down on top of it. The diagonals however are a issue you can't get around.
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 7, 2010 Author Posted August 7, 2010 Thanks for the comments everyone! Not really an update.. But.. Discuss.
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 8, 2010 Author Posted August 8, 2010 You may have guessed correctly! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Adventure Shores: Grand Opening! Hello to all! CDI is proud to announce that today marked the Grand Opening of the Adventure Shores Boardwalk! Guests were waiting at the main entrance hours before the gates opened. The first guests crossed the bridge around noon today! The Power Towers were the most popular rides of the day. The other coasters were not as busy, although many guests had come directly from the Safari Zone with Typhlosion's Explosion. Guests were pleasantly surprised when they arrived by Maurer Söhne's newest SkyLoop XT450, Atlantic Force. (djbrcace gets a cookie. ) The new coaster is sure to have amazing popularity, being the only SkyLoop in the United States. The Atlantic Stadium, last seen under construction, is Adventure Shore's own stadium complex, that will stage many shows. The current show is a stunt show set in an industrial setting. The back of the stage is open (as seen in picture #1) as to allow guests to see out toward the ocean. CDI (Adv. Shores) is arranging for concerts and more in later seasons. And now, more empty areas! What could possibly go in here? We'll have to see. Have fun guessing! Enjoy!
dmaxsba2408 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Very nice coaster, also really like how you put the stands together.
djbrcace1234 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Screw the coaster because the stands= ! The peeps sitting seel it. I love it! The coaster, fiured. but nicley laided out! Keep it up!
CoasterCreator9 Posted August 9, 2010 Author Posted August 9, 2010 Thanks for the comments! _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ CDI has been busy, Palm Bay Zoo also opened over the weekend. Palm Bay Zoo's first coaster was a Schwarzkoph looping coaster. One of many fantastic animal habitats! This next area is the Farm Experience, presented by Florida's Natural. It allows (mainly) younger guests to see what it's like being part of one of Florida's citrus groves. Another small coaster in the area, an Arrow, named Double Loop. Overview of the main part of the Florida's Natural Farm Experience. On the Arcadia side of the river, CDI has veen busy. A small car ride went up about a week ago. But, more interestingly, a large wooden coaster rose, seemingly out of nowhere! Eclipse is a massive Dinn Beast-esque woodie. The first few drops are fast and have turns directly after. Sure to be a park favorite, Eclipse rips over the water twice. CDI is searching for areas to built their next park. Several locations include, Michigan, Missouri, California, Minnesota, and Washington, but CDI wants to know where the guests want to see a park! (Note: Although I'm going to start work on other parks due to park group #1 running close to RCT2's limits, that doesn't mean Adventure Shores, Palm Bay Zoo, and Arcadia won't be getting improvements! )
GaryGB Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) I LOVE the station on the Schwarzkopf looper, I also chuckled when I saw that you were using entertainers in the animal exhibit, haha. Overall very very nice, keep it up. Edited August 10, 2010 by GaryGB
