thrillrider Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Well, we made our way back to Michigans adventure for timbersfest yesterday. The park was much busier than it was on my last visit a few weeks ago, and the weather couldn't have been better. Last year, we made it to about an hour into ert, when it stated storming out so our ert was cut short. Not this year. I was able to snag 12 rides in a row on timbers, and a bunch more during the day. The rides that were open for ERT were....thunderhawk, wolverine wildcat, timbers, and most of the flat rides. The employees and staff of Michigans adventure were VERY friendly, and I would like to thank them for putting on such a great event every year. There were maybe about 50 people for the event, so the ERT was the best. I would also like to thank our ride op john....he made the night even better on timbers. He had a bunch of cedar fair trivia for us(although he did not get the super himalaya question ). It was me and 6 friends that were there enjoying the park, and we all had fun. Thank you Michigans adventure, and I hope to see you again next year!!! So we all stuffed ourselfs into the car for a 3 hour drive to Michigans adventure. When we made it to the park, this is what we saw... This years event T-shirt The big dipper coaster. Big dipper specks. Next up was zacks zoomer kiddie coaster. This coaster is almost the same coaster you would find at kings island. Noted....I shall obide. Looking down the midway tourds be bop and corkscrew. Zacks zoomer brake run. And the station. Ride info. Be bop car ride. More be bop...I just like saying it...be bop. Corkscrew thru the trees. Games midway , going tourds the mad mouse. Giant wheel. Next stop was the mad mouse. Yep....mad mouse. The ride car. After you get off the ride, you get to TAKE THE TUNNEL!!!!. The 3 point challange game had a counter on it to count how many baskets were made. Franklin....the forgotton peanuts member. Is this guy making kettle corn, or a nucular missle? Wolverine wildcat layout from peeking over the fence. And the other side of the ride. I think they need a new carpinter. Not sure what the catwalk is fof in the middle of the track, but this seems to be popping up on a lot of wood coasters these days. The 2 in the front look too excited. As smooth as a dirt road. My friends Jason and Chris getting ready to enjoy the ride. Corkscrews entire layout from accross the lake. The sea dragon doing it's thing. I see you timbers....we will get to you a little bit later. A new random menu I was trying to put off riding the corkscrew. So I went and took a picture of the boobless murmaid. They had Michigans adventure jackets on sale, but being that it was like 85 out, I passed. Bad picture of domo T-shirts in the gift shop. Onto the hawk of thunder....or thunderhawk as many know it by. The trail to nowhere...... Thunderhawk wheel porn. Notice that they do not say "vekoma" on them. Maybe that's why it's the best ride of it's kind? Yep....thunderhawk. Oops.....camera acidently went off....sorry folks. Train station and timbers in the background. It's good to see that many people are giving up smoking. Timbers...stuck on lift hill. Loggers run felt good on a warm day. Next up...the flying star. Many of you may not know this, but this is the same falling star that used to reside at boblo island. Did you know that cedar fair has an official ketchup? If your a "shiver giver", than they have the t-shirt just for you. Why bother planting them, when you can just leave them in the flats? Something is missing. All right...I put it off long enough. Time for a beating...errr, I mean a ride on corkscrew. This ride has an advanced operators booth. One train operation, cuz that's all the ride can handle. Train of happy riders. It took me 10 shots to finnaly get a picture with his head above the water. See Intaman...it can be done. At the dinner, louri was going over a few things. First ert was on thunderhawk. This is how long we had to wait for thunderhawk durring ert. They were running two trains, even though one was completly empty. Ever wonder what a midway at michigans adventure looks like after the park is closed? Here ya go. A not so wet grand rapids ride. That green pvc pipe, is what makes the rapids. Wolverine wildcat ert was also great. Got about 5 rides in without having to leave my seat. Next up on ert was shivering timbers. I got a few rides in on timbers, and then they also opend up the falling star for ert.So I decided to get a few quick rides in on it before heading back to timbers. Here is the ride plaque. It was getting dark, and they turned the lights on. This is one of the best looking rides at night. It has a great light package. Also grabbed a ride on the flying trapeeze. Ok...back to timbers. Here was our great ride op john. I was able to get 12 rides in a row. The ride specks. On the way out, I was able to get some shots of the rides after dark. Michigans adventure is never open after dark, so this is a rare opertunity. Flyint trapeeze. The falling star(s) Ugg...the sign kept flashing, and after a bunch of tries, I had to settle for this shot. So we stuffed ourselfs back into the car, and headed home. Thank you Michigans adventure.
AndCamSS Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I made the 12th to the last picture! Guy with his hand in front of his face in the 2nd row on Timbers! lol I have no idea how many times we got on Timbers but it was great! That ride is running better than it has in years!
Reality15 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Thanks again for coming up, Dave. It was really great having everyone out last night to enjoy my little piece of heaven, Shivering Timbers. And I'm still standing by my original guess that Super Himalaya was a Mack Musik Express. Though when I was leaving the park I did remember that I was wrong about Winky the Whale. It's a Sellner, along with Drummer Boy. What can I say, I was getting tired.
thrillrider Posted June 26, 2010 Author Posted June 26, 2010 It was great meeting you as well. Btw...after just looking it up, you are right. It is a mack himalaya. I was thinking it was wisdom for some reason.
darienlakerules Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 *Accidentally takes picture of Megan Fox naked*
thrillrider Posted June 26, 2010 Author Posted June 26, 2010 A few more shots. The park seems to have a bit more landscaping this year. The park has go carts as well. I can't believe it....they have a crush machine. Crush is one of the very few times that I will break my rule about not drinking soda. Shivering timbers sign. Timbers lift hill.

Yea, we had a great time and can't wait to come back for another visit. Maybe next time, we will have enough time to actualy do the water park.
thrillrider Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 I seen a few people with TPR gear on, including myself.
