Yesterday, 8/9, I went to PKI with a friend, Teal,. We got to the park at about 10:15. We started to walk back to the Beast and saw something exciting. PKI now has a Starbucks! But anyway, we passed the Italian Job on the way to Beast so we got in line. The line was about 30 minuets. Thoughts in line were that it looked like Whizzer from SFGAm. The line had some road signs and movie facts and Mini advertisments. When you get to the front of the line you are assigned a row. We got row 5. The launch is decent for the speed it is and the first manuever, the spiral thing that first reminded me of Whizzer in the first place was pretty fun. After that you drop and whirve through some police cars and then go up a hill and stop with barrels and gas and a helicoptor shooting at you, and fire. Then you drop inside a dark building where you can see nothing, do a few drops and turns, then drop out of it it, onto the water, do one more turn and the ride is over. Overall, the ride was pretty fun and a lot better than I thought it would be.

After that we walked back to Beast. They were playing awful bluegrass/ country music outside of the line area. The line was very short and was only a two train wait for the back row. They were running two trains. This was not the best day for the Beast. It was so rough as it sometimes is that it felt like my heart moved. The ride was still fun though. We then walked to the front of the park and rode Viking Fury. It was a fun flat as usual. We then walked to the large place aross the midway to eat. I got a cheesburger, it was okay, but weird how easy to chew it was. I also got some pudding and found a hair in it. Nice. We then walked to Delerium, another half hour wait. The ride was great. This is one of my favorites in the park. A little short, but I love it. After that we walked over to Face/ Off. It was closed as it usualy is.

We then walked to Top Gun. The line was about 20 minuets. I really like this ride. Short and sweet. Teal really wanted to ride Son of Beast for some reason, so I got in line with him, not thinking I was going to ride. There was NO LINE! We walked right on the front. It was rough as usual. I hated it. I had to work hard to keep my knees from banging the handrails! Tear the dumb thing down! Nobody rides it anymore. It needs to be called Daughter of Beast because it is a bitch!

After that experence, we walked to Coney Mall. We got in line for the Racer, forwards. It was great! Very smooth and some pretty good air actualy. AFter that we got in line for the backwards Racer, it was the first time in my 19 years of living that I have ever ridden backwards Racer and I hated it. I will probably never ride it backwards again. We then headed to Flight of Fear and rode Scrambeler on the way. Its one of my favorite "older" flats. We got in line for FoF, mainly to get out of the heat. The line was 45 minuets. The ride was pretty fun. It always reminds me over the over the shoulder harness years though. You can see the track when you are going through it. We then walked to Shake, Rattle and Roll. Some little boy whou couldn't ride alone wanted to ride with me so the ride attendant asked me if it was fine with me and then let him in. Okay, fine. Then before the ride started he got scared and climbed out over the lap bar! Then when we were exiting he poured some water on my leg! WTF???

After that we walked to Vortex. I like the ride because my ears are above the harness so I don't have to worry about head banging. The first drop is fun and the hill after that has the best airtime in the park! After that, we walked onto Spongebob to get out of the heat and watched the decent movie. After that we walked back over to the Italian Job. The line was short and the ride was still fun. We rode the Beast again after this. It was a walk on and still rough. We headed for the front of the park after this. I got a Carmel Frappachino (sp?) on the way out. It was 7 PM and it was still hot. I had been up 29 hours at that point so I pretty much passed out when we got on the highway to go home.

I took my nephew 8/2 & 8/3 and almost eveything but Italian Job was a few minute wait, the water park was packed but it was 95+ degrees out. I am still hurting from Son of the Beast and The Beast is the most overrated coaster I have ever been on.

Believe it or not, that's because these are actually really good meat-Black Angus steakburgers. My husband works weekends at the park and they grill out next to their building (cash control) on the weekends. Everybody loves the burgers so much they went in together and bought a box wholesale from the park, and so I have a freezer full of these babies right now.

I agree about the Beast.... I am shocked how rough it has gotten. Tell me coaster guys and gals...is there anything they can do about that?

^^Cool, I had one from the park before, I guess I just didn't remember it. I know they can "revamp" and "rework" it somehow, but don't ask me any details on how they do that. It is weird that the Racer is smoother than the Beast. And if SoB didn't have the handrails in front of my knees, I may say the roughness is up there with it.

^Ok, I was just curious how near the front was, because I only ride in the back) to see if it was any smoother up there.
