  1. 1. If you are designing a photo, what program are you using?

    • mostly Adobe Photoshop (because I've got money or I'm a hacfilled with medicine and goo)
      2
    • mostly GIMP (because I'm good at photo editing but I'm not throwing out $100)
      2
    • mostly MS Paint (because I generally suck, but I just feel like submitting a photo)
      0
    • other (because I'm unpopular and weird) :D

Hey TPR!

I noticed that some people here are good at editing photos, and since I'm currently re-doing my room (it is blue now, instead of white) and I'm making it more personal to me with coaster photos/frames, I thought that you guys could help.

So, I after purchasing this frame (among others for other photos), I thought that I'd do a bunch GIMP-edited coaster photos for this little compound frame. Then, I thought, "well, I could do four pictures and let the coaster community do a fifth one!". That's where you come in!

The photo must be 5"x7", and can be a portrait or a landscape of any coaster. Remember that this isn't a huge canvas so don't crowd the image with too many things or layers/effects. I want no text, unless it's the coaster name off in the corner (which can be an edited logo, as long as it's small).

I'm also wanting only one photo (aka, not 3 photos in a single compilation picture), because that would look cluttered and defeats the purpose of having the 5-photo frame. Just keep it rather simplistic, with rather few effects.

I'm not sure when I want the entries due, but I'm assuming by the end of the week I'll need to wrap it up.

Below is a picture of the frame:

Also, be sure to answer the poll. I'm just curious as to what people are using!

I guess that's about it! Just remember some of the guidelines, but other then that just do whatever you want! I will pick only one winner, of course, and will purely be on what I think I want on my wall. If you win, well, your prize is knowing that your photo is on somebody's wall somewhere else in the nation (or world)!

Stay fresh,

Bump!

To keep the topic going, be sure to post if you are going to try this out!

Also, at the end of the contest and once your picture is framed and hung, I'll be sure to post a picture of it hanging on my wall with my new wall color, my new CoasterDynamix Comet, and some other coaster stuff for fun-zies!

I know, not that great of a prize, but hey, what else can I award (besides advertising on the world's most unpopular YouTube channel, mine!)?

Hey that's pretty cool!

Looking for more interesting coasters though...instead of a boomerang...

Could you do that to a good shot Tennessee Tornado or another Arrow? That'd be great!

Otherwise, this is a worthy entry...

Well, I do have pictures of Great America. I also have pretty awesome pictures of Goliath at Fiesta Texas.

Okay, deleted the old post for this replacement post...

Alright, I've narrowed my stock photos (for ME to edit or not edit) to one from SheiKra (or Kumba, I'm deciding), T Express, Expedition GeForce, and Manta. Don't choose one of those rides.

If you can quickly pull off an amazing Kumba/SheiKra one though, that's fine!

ALSO: Make landscape photos from now on. The only portrait slot was taken by the Manta photo by themeparkman25.

I have a very large version of that picture, however, I won't be able to post it til tonight. I only have the small version on my computer, and a friend has my camera, which has the large one. So give me til tonight, and then I will PM it to you or post it or something.

In other news: here is Patriot.

Both of these pictures were taken by me.

Sorry to get back late! I've had a bunch of school.

If you could find a bigger Manta photo, I'd be happy. Also, that Patriot one is pretty tempting, but it's a little on the small side.

The best resolution ones for me to scale to 5 x 7in are 800 x 600 pixels or above, because the quality isn't lost when scaling.

***Nevermind, I already got another Manta photo.
