Thelegendarymatthew Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I've been making Custom Track Packs for a guy on Atari( 118822447700 ), because the site he uses to post them is full off adds, randomly deletes files, and you can only download like 5 at a time. I asked him if I could make some track packs of the tracks he made on sites like TPR and Coaster-net, as they are a lot ore reliable than his site. (The site works good for some people, but it hates people like me) The whole reason behind this is, if someone uses one of these coasters in the RCT3 park, and the file isn't assessable. Then, they can't use the park. Right? Also, these are just tracks & cars from RCT3. These are not made in a 3D modeling program. There made in a confusing German made program I'll post pictures later. POST REQUESTS. (please post 1 request at a time, as I'm going to throw these requests over at Atari, but you got to remember the guy who does this is a human, so he may not get to your request.) mcjaco Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Honestly, I'd rather keep these types of files at their current location, and just provide links to the download. Right now. I can tell you guys that somewhere after the new phpbb3 forum roll out, I'm going to work with Robb on a new Game Forum database, where parks, track files, scenery, etc. can all be searched. You can thank Mr. Fourmont for that idea! So, let's keep stuff like this too links for the time being (as I also don't want these to get lost in the forum), and just stick to links. We're monitoring the Atari site to see how it pans out with the new changes, and how much activity heads this way.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 ^Alight, I was just doing this for the people, but I see your reasoning. Although, I'm still going to be throwing these Kits up on Coaster-net (just letting someone who would want to know in the future) for use, as I don't trust the uploading site that is used by the creator of these awesome tracks. -Matt P.S. Whats the other 95%??? Non Magical!
mcjaco Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 ^Alight, I was just doing this for the people, but I see your reasoning. And I appreciate it! Let's just throw the links up, from here on out. When we get the database off the ground, I'll grab them then!
Thelegendarymatthew Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 ^Alrighty then, I have finished 2 more packs, and I'm half way done with the 6th. In the end, there should be a total of 40-60 custom tracks. http://www.coaster-net.com/downloadextras.php?action=displaycat&catid=11 A lil' warning. Don't use cable lifts, because the guy who makes these couldn't get that feature to work probably. -Matt
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Honestly, I'd rather keep these types of files at their current location, and just provide links to the download. Right now. Ind id be happy to help you guys with it if you need it.
mcjaco Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 ^ It's probably a ways off, but it is a good idea. Especially with everyone leaving Atari enmasse. It's going to be real hard to keep track of stuff with it all over the interweb!
Thelegendarymatthew Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 From what I've seen, the people who are leaving are just n00bs who have joined the site in the last year, and people who have gotten bans and stuff. Also, COASTER FREAK 11. Your the guy on Atari who made the custom kits? Or, where you talking to mcjaco. Because, we are both Matts. Probably talking to mcjaco, because you quoted him, but I've seen posts like that in the past where theres a mix-up. -Matt
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Haha, no, I am not the person who made the kits. And I was talking to mcjaco, lol.
