Sasquatch Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 From the side, a BM zero-G roll's heartline is the same shape as the track on one of their floater air hills... If that helps!
themeparkologist Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 ^It is but it needs to be tweaked with to get it just right. Thank you everyone for your comments!
4rturo Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Actually they are flat at the top, but it's because of the heartline, I just use the AHG, it gets it right every time
themeparkologist Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 I have already stated that I don't have AHG and have no wish to acquire it. All the downloads are either messed up, don't work, or the link is dead.
haux Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 From the side, a BM zero-G roll's heartline is the same shape as the track on one of their floater air hills... If that helps! That's only on sit-down coasters. On inverted coasters, it does sort of level off for a little bit.

That's only on sit-down coasters. On inverted coasters, it does sort of level off for a little bit. The heartline of a Zero-G-Roll from a sitdown is the same as the heartline of an inverted. The difference is in the track, on sitdowns, the track goes twists around over the heartline, while on inverts, the track rotates underneath the heartline.

That is how they get the vertical g-force so somewhere near zero.
4rturo Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Yep. That's why the AHG is my best friend, it does all the hard work
hyyyper Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 btw, this might help in getting everything together: http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?v=2&cp=qhw9rv73s98b&scene=15129293&lvl=2&sty=b
themeparkologist Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Long time, no update! I got really bored with the project recently and it has pumps and bumps and the support work is...well...crap. I haven't finished it totally but since I'm going to Mexico, I'll give it to you. It might be finished in the future. Patriot.zip The part you were waiting for.
haux Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 What's with the hidden block brake runs? They make the ride fail the E-stop test, and they seem to slow it down. Why didn't you just make it all track like a normal roller coaster? The hidden brakes are weird, and I got the train to stop in the middle of hill before the corkscrew even though there's nothing there to stop it! I don't feel like I can give any sort of rating without you making this somewhat realistic. You're going for a recreation, for crying out loud. But here goes: It's really bumpy. Track is misshapen. The supports are kind of weird, and there appeared to be some close calls. I didn't tunnel test. Try again. Work harder on it.
themeparkologist Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 The hidden brakes kept the Gs down and I know it's not great. If all you do is go to this forum and expect perfection, you're in the wrong place. Nothing is perfect and the weird supports are for the most part, prototypical.
haux Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I don't expect perfection. I'm just trying to help. Instead of using hidden brakes to keep the G's in check, tweak the track.
