christianscoasters Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Took me a few hours to put together. I used a previous design from DBru for the terrain, so if it looks familiar, that's who it's from Comments? Tornado.nltrack
DBru Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Really fun ride! Though you need to work on banking the track a bit more on (very) high-g turns and smoothing out elements/transition, the coaster had an incredibly fun layout. I had to ride it at least 10 times in a row (no exaggeration) before I could finally start to figure out what was coming next...
christianscoasters Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 ^Thank you! Yeah, banking, for me, it's usually a hit or miss (Figuratively). Sometimes I do GREAT at it, then other times it's awful One of my favorite things on this track is that right after the first camel back, it goes up, then curves down to the left, but it doesn't go to the ground. Instead of going back up for a bunny hill, it just goes straight, then drops again. I love that part! Haha.
Sasquatch Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Hmmmmm you kinda cheated by not selecting the improved friciton option...
christianscoasters Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 ^Crap. It didn't even cross my mind to use improved friction.
Sasquatch Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 ^ Yeah people think that "Improved Friction" just means there is more friction to slow the trains down, when really it just means that the trains behave much more like they would in real life than in older versions of the game. Each coaster type has it's own friction setting programmed in to simulate how the real thing would perform. Anyway, I love the ride! Very smooth, very enjoyable to ride, and very retro!
christianscoasters Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 ^Thanks! Yeah, I turned on improved friction, and the ride seemed the same, really. I haven't checked the forces yet to see if there are any red's. I like making retro woodies! They're fun. I tried to make this have insane airtime that just surprises you every time you get to it. Yay!
