gus1971
Hey guys! My partner and I will be to NYC for Halloween this year (Oct 30 thru Nov 2). We for sure wanna go to SFGAdv to get the most of the coasters. Therefore, I kindly ask your advices about about best days to go, passes (Flash pass x Flash pass gold), Halloween events, etc. I am the kind of guy that needs to ride each coaster as much as possible, stopping only when I see my partner is near death... LOL. So... Thanks a lot! Cheers from Rio, Gus.
Jerrykoala2112
I would first see if there are crowds, and then decide for a flash pass. Some days of Fright Fest, it is empty, even on Saturdays. But usually, it is very packed. It will be hard to get on every coaster unless you are there all day. And plan to wait in lines unless you get the flash pass. scooterdoug
I can't recommend a Gold FlashPass enough. I went for my first time last May, and it easily doubled (if not tripled) my ride count for the day. Even though the crowds were pretty low when I went, I would have only scored one ride on El Toro (an absolutely amazing coaster), as everyone wants to ride it and the line was somewhat long. With the FlashPass, I got 4 breathtaking rides on my new #1 coaster. The best part of the day was going to ride Superman: Ultimate Flight and finding a very long and slow line. I checked my FlashPass to find a 2 minute wait. I made the reservation, walked out of line walked in the FlashPass line, and got to the line attendant right when my two minutes was up. My cousin and I walked right into the station with a lovely view of the long line we just skipped. It totally felt like cheating...and I loved it!!! If you're coming all the way from Brazil for this one visit and money isn't an issue, then just splurge on the Gold FlashPass. I assure you, you won't be disappointed. -Doug

You'll definitely need a Gold flashpass, and buy one ahead of time online because they'll sell out. Get there as early as possible. It's only open Friday (the 30th) from 5-11 and probably 10-10 on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is the last day for the season as well. Also they usually don't let you re-enter the park after a certain time (6 PM or something) so make sure you bring everything you need with you! Have fun laughing at everyone standing in line while you breeze by with your flashpass
YoshiFan
Sunday November 1st (closing day) might be empty enough a Flashpass might not be needed. I went on Sunday November 2nd last year (also closing day) and crowds were very light. It was sunny out and not too cold so it wasn't the weather keeping people away. Most waits were 5 - 10 minutes, only Superman and Kingda Ka had longer waits (and they were around 20 - 30 minutes at the most). I'm not sure how Friday October 30th will be in terms of crowds since it could vary a lot. Friday nights were not crowded last year (not sure about Halloween night) but since it is the day before Halloween it could be worse than I would think. I'm planning to go to the park this Friday night and I'll report how bad crowds are. I'm guessing (and hoping) lines will be short like last year.
