KevinCoasterTycoon3 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Phoenix I know its already done, but I still want to post it here... (I'm new to this website) (A closer look) (Night Shots) VIDEO: www.youtube.com/watch?v=chd72yfn_Gw (Tell me what you think)
Jerrykoala2112 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I really think the support work on this is amazing! I just love the editing on the video too! Really good! 5/5 or like A+ on the forums
Cavs Fan Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Great work. I see some Medusa, err... umm... Bizarro inspiration (or Scream!) I love the cobra roll over the water. 6/5
themeparkman25 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 That is some youtube video with links to the different pov's. Anyways here are my thoughts. It was a very legit coaster for rct3, so good job with that. I liked the layout of the elements, but I also thought it would have used one last corkscrew before the brake run to seal the deal. Also, I don't really know what the brake at 1:29 is, unless that is a trim since you can't put them on hills. Either way it really didn't make sense, and neither did the pseudo brake run at 1:55 that didn't do a thing. Great coaster though, I am highly impressed with your layout and supports and entrance. Very nice piece of coaster you have. Keep it up.
KevinCoasterTycoon3 Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Also, I don't really know what the brake at 1:29 is, unless that is a trim since you can't put them on hills. Either way it really didn't make sense, and neither did the pseudo brake run at 1:55 that didn't do a thing. I see you noticed... I had to put breaks in certain spots of the coaster to make it run smooth without going to fast. Like in the tunnel, those keep it from flying into the station to fast, and the break at 1:55 keeps it from hitting the mid-breaks to fast. In real life they would have put them on the hills and stuff.. but that's not possible with Rct3. So basically I created my own trimming system.. and by the way.. I had a corkscrew instead of the tunnel originally, but it didn't come out right, so I had to re-make that part, and so I ended up putting a tunnel there. I hope everything sounded clear.
themeparkman25 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Totally. And I figured those extra brakes were part of a trim system, they just seemed very out of place and in the case of the tunnel brakes, very long. Corkscrew wasn't critique either, just personal preference and basing it off of real coasters. By no means it was a negative that you didn't have one. This was a really good coaster for rct.
KPWoCkAxX Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Welcome to the Forums! It'a always nice to see new members here. Very nice ride you have here, it's gorgeous! The colours are perfect too. 5/5
KevinCoasterTycoon3 Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 Thanks everyone... I will probably have a new project soon.
Reon Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I clicked on this thread expecting a recreation of the best coaster ever. I am dissapoint. Still, pretty awesome ride. It looks really reallistic, and the integration of a midway makes it look really nice asthetically. The only thing that would make it better is if it was an epic woodie.
Jerrykoala2112 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Wooden coasters with custom supports really lag the game ^ I think this was more Kumba inspired then anything else...
