pimstoned Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I have a tough one for you guys, mostly because I'm not at all organized but you did a TPR report on a rollercoaster park about 1 year ago and one coaster in particular caught my interest. It was extremely well themed and involved a rollercoaster going through man-made mountains and cliffs, like giant stalagmites and stalagtites. It was definately synthetically made and there might have been a castle theme going on...but I'm not sure. Can't remember for the life of me but I think it was a foreign park outside the US? Do you guys have a brief list of coasters that you know that I can google to see if I can find it? Thanks! Dan
cal1br3tto Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Could it be Ice Mountain Bobsled? It's at Enchanted Forest (Turner, Oregon, USA). (edit) Glad you got your answer. I know I hate the false hope of seeing a new response and then learning that it doesn't help.
larrygator Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 2008 Asia Tour It could be one of the Happy Valley parks Robb and Elissa visited in 2008.
pimstoned Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 By Jolly I've think you've got it! I took a look at the China trip and I believe it was "Crystal Wings" at Happy Valley that I was thinking of. Really is a beutiful coaster in my mind but I love seeing the other suggestions. Is there a forum topic on rides like these that are either interwoven with mountains / rocks or that dive among natural terrain? I would love to see more coasters like these. Thanks again, Dan
themeparkman25 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 ^Then you probably would be a fan of Expedition Everest! That is Disneys newest gem at the price tag of $100 million and definitely has the going through the mountain thing going on. Made by vecoma, there is even a surprise feature inside! Check it out!

Thanks again, Dan If you want a coaster that "dive among natural terrain", then I think you'd be hard pushed to beat Nemesis at Alton Towers. Can't say I've ever seen a coaster built like that anywhere else. Brilliant ride even now it's 15 years old just because of how close you come to the rocks.
jeronimon Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 If you're looking for interwovenablity (Don't look it up, it will be in dictionaries from 2011 and onwards) Black Mamba (Phanstasialand, Brühl, Germany) will certainly be pleasing to you as well.
