sfmmrules!
I have these blank Maxwell DVD-R discs that I have tried to record onto but after I insert the disc it's still a blank screen & I hear the disc inside moving & it has a little cd icon at the top left screen & says reading. I hit buttons on the remote & nothing works. How do I copy a vhs tape? I have a few I want to copy.
Angry_Gumball
I can only assume you're using a DVD recorder, recording some stuff, right? Also, I'm guessing you're trying it on another player? If you're using a DVD recorder, you have to finalize your DVD before you can use it elsewhere...otherwise, it won't play. Refer to your instruction manual (or download one for your recorder) to see how to finalize it. Hope this helps.

MG
First of all, most commercial VHS are copy protected, so you will be unable to copy them to DVD. The only ones you would be able to copy would be home videos. Also, is your player DVD and VHS together or are they seperate machines?
sfmmrules!
Its a DVD/VHS player & home made movies. I used another player to copy it & it worked but now I can't play it on my laptop. How do I get the DVD to play on my laptop?
MG
Ok, check what it says on your DVDs. If it says DVD +/- R or DVD +/- or DVD Ram. If it says DVD RW you will need to read your instruction manual on how to finalise the Disc as said above. After this you will be no longer able to put anything on the Disc. If it is DVD R I'm not quite sure why it is not working. If it is DVD Ram, it is probably because your laptop can't play it. Hope this helps.
