atem122 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Dear Robb, I was updating my coaster counter and was looking through the leader boards and saw your account. I had figured you had the credit but checked anyway, and of course you had the mystical Goliath Jr/Percy credit. I'm just wondering how you got it, was there not a height limit back when it was Goliath JR? (I only visited sfmm once with it as Goliath Jr), did you ask management? Or did they just let you on since you're Robb Alvey? P.S: I bet you could draw a huge crowd for Percy ert
ebl Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I could have gotten that credit back in 1971 when that ride was the Clown Coaster. Back then, it was an age limit, not height, and I was 12 (the maximum). Oh well... Eric
atem122 Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 I swear man, if there was an ert session that allowed people over the height limit to ride, it would draw a huge crowd
larrygator Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I can't speak for SFMM, but in rare instances park management will bend the rules if the right person asks nicely or if it is at a private event. On a few of the TPR Europe trips we were told that adults were not allowed on certain kiddie coasters. However, after speaking with park or operations management Robb was able to get TPR members on many (but not all) of the kiddie coasters.
katherine04 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 this is an interesting discussion thank you for sharing simulation rachat de credit
Sir Clinksalot Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Can't speak for Robb, but I got the credit when I was about 5 when it was called Clown Coaster. It's possible Robb also rode it when he was a kid. As far as Percy ERT, I remember hearing a rumor that Robb had asked about Percy ERT during WCB but the park said no.
ebl Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Keep in mind, too, that it isn't a park policy, it's a limitation set by the manufacturer of the ride, in this case, Bradley & Kaye. Strangely, though, Timberline Twister at Knott's is also a B&K ride, but has a higher height limit. Eric
Sir Clinksalot Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 ^ Well, Timberline Twister is a little more "beefy" than Percy's.
X2coasterfreak Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 ^Ya I second that, Timberline Twister is a little worse than Percy.
Dark Vampire Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 It's the same with Go Gator at Flamingoland. Anyone who got that credit?
