DKR Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Hello everyone from Spain! First of all sorry if my english isn't very good. I'd like to ask some questions about the Francilien Pass of Disneyland Paris. I read in some websites that that pass is only avaliable if you are a France resident... is it true? also, If that information isn't true... where I can get it, it's important to adquire it before the 9th August, because I think it takes time to do it, like anyother pass, right? Thanks for all.
Nrthwnd Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 From what I have read and remembered, this pass is available to residents of Paris (and maybe France, too) only. Proof of residency is needed for the pass application. If you are looking to visit DLPR more than (at least) three times a year, you might want to look into the Fantasy Yearly Pass. There are blackout dates on it, but it cost me less than three visits to the main park, and I ended up using it for 8 trips to the parks, the two weeks I was in Paris! http://www.dlp-guide.com is a good site to check out for up-to-date information on all of the annual passes and regular tickets to the parks. Hope this helps you out.
DKR Posted July 2, 2009 Author Posted July 2, 2009 Thank you for the fast reply! And thanks, it really helped me. Bye!!
matt_g Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Unless things have changed since last September when we bought ours, it's available to everyone. A few years back it was "french people only" but the rules changed. It doesn't take any time to get it if you buy one in person - you can buy a temporary pass outside the park and enter on the same day. You then have your photo taken and get a permanent pass at the annual pass processing centre (inside the park) - this has to be on the first day you enter. The Francilien pass does have blackout days, and in particular the 2nd and 3rd day after you buy it are extra blackout days - ie. if you buy on Monday you can visit on Monday, but not on Tuesday or Wednesday. They've done this because the Francilien pass is quite a lot cheaper than a 3-day ticket and they would rather foreigners on holiday bought the more expensive ticket! Edit: full details at this site, which confirms that anyone can buy one.
