OK hi guys, I have some questions about a trip that I want to take to

Los Angeles, particularly for SFMM.

I've found out that a good cheap flight from Chicago's O'Hare airport to LA's LAX airport round-trip flight will be $159. Now that's a one time pay thing? You're covered for the return trip as well, you don't have to pay another $159 to return if you get round-trip correct?

Now here comes the tricky part, once I arrive at LAX, what's the easiest way and cheapest way to get up to SFMM? I only want to resort to a taxi as the last thing. How far will Metro take me, before I have to use a Taxi, and what will that cost me? From SFMM back to LAX as well?

Now since I really don't know anybody in the LA area who would be willing to offer me a place to crash for the night, I guess I'm going to have to stay at a motel. The ones near SFMM are cheap. Well some are.

Any tips/ advice and or solutions you guys have for a trip to SFMM?

Epically from the ones who call SFMM their home park?

Thanks

EDIT: I'd like to add that this would be my first time traveling to SFMM. Not to mention my first time going to California, or for that matter traveling alone.

If you're super hardcore, there's a commuter bus that leaves from Century City to Santa Clarita at like 8 in the morning on weekdays only. After there you need to transfer to another bus which will take you literally right to sfmm. Getting back from that is a whole other story though, I usually have my parents drive me there so it's no real problem for me.

Unless I decide to stay the night at the motel and leave the next morning.

I'm going to lock this thread because there has litterally been at least 20 threads in the past 3 months posted asking for "tips on SFMM."

Do a search and I think you'll find a lot of information!
