Do I must wear a swim suite in water park ? Or I can wear a short.

 

Please tell me. I have a trip on this Sat.

 

Also girl too. Can she wear a shirt and short in water park ?

The following information will help ensure a safe and enjoyable visit to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. First, remember to apply sunscreen before your visit. To help prevent heat exhaustion, avoid overexertion and drink plenty of water.

 

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is open May 23 - September 13.

 

WATER PARK RULES

 

•Children should not be left unattended

•Height, weight, and health restrictions are strictly enforced

•Non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult who can swim

•Casts are not allowed on slides, or most attractions

•Do not wear eyeglasses or jewelry in pools, as they may not be retrievable if lost during operation

•Face masks are not allowed

•Running or diving is not allowed anywhere in the waterpark

•There is no smoking, except in designated areas

•Capacity is limited, so the park may not be available to all guests during peak times

 

APPROPRIATE ATTIRE

In order to participate in waterpark activities, guests must wear lined swimsuits. Street clothes, cut-off shorts, denim shorts or athletic clothing is not allowed in any water areas. In addition, swimwear with buttons, snaps, rivets or zippers is not allowed.

 

•Shoes are not allowed in any attraction

•Aqua socks are not permitted on slides

•Infants' diapers may be changed in restroom changing stations only

•Toddlers are required to wear swim diapers

•Swimsuits are only allowed in Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, and must be appropriate for our family environment

•Shoes, proper shorts and cover-up attire is required when returning to the theme park

The rules are not completely true for swimsuits. My GF bought a 1 piece more dress looking swimsuit and they stopped us from riding on the bigger rides. They claimed she was wearing a dress. She didn't want to wear a bikini because we both thought there is a high chance of it coming off on the bigger rides. So the park definitely encourages small bikinis. That does not seem appropriate for families, but its good to know just in case.

Also note that Denim is specifically not allowed in any chlorinated water attraction at any Six Flags park....had a lot of issues with that when I was a lifeguard at TGE. My supervisors had explained that there is some sort of chemical in the denim that is bad for the filtration system (although they could've been just giving an excuse). Other than that, at least at my park, there weren't any huge restrictions, as long as you weren't trying to go on a slide having shorts with huge metallic buttons on your shorts, etc.
