darienlakerules Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I'm looking to go to a couple parks on the way to Washington DC form western NY. I can go out of the way a couple of hours and take longer routes. What would be the biggest bang for my buck? Which park in the DC area should I visit out of the three?
Yamez Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I would first define the DC area. I live right next to Washington DC (Alexandria VA) and the closest park to my knowledge is Six Flags America (which is in terrible shape). If you're willing to drive 2 hours or so further south I'd go down towards Richmond and hit up Kings Dominion, or even Busch Gardens Europe in Williamsburg. You could also take a stop in Ocean City, the beach is nice (although a bit cold at the moment), they have numerous little parks in that area and a fun boardwalk with games and attractions. On your way down you should be able to hit several Pennsylvania parks such as Hershey Park, Waldameer, and Dorney. I'm not sure what other parks are on your way, but those are the ones from the top of my head. Hope this helps, James
darienlakerules Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 Yeah, those are the parks I was thinking of. I really want to get to six flags great adventure. I'm just in the planing stages now. This would be a summer trip. I REALLY want to ride Kinda Ka and the rest of the coasters there.
