I was wondering if anyone has old theme park commercials on video? I'm looking for 1970s Six Flags Over Texas commercials.

Me too - just caught the tail end of it from 1976 to the early 80s. Wish I'd ridden on the Fiesta Train!

I haven't really been able to find any commercials from that era! I'm not sure if you checked YouTube, but they have some interesting stuff. They have quite a few videos with old pics from that time.

I've been to Youtube, but I've never seen the commercials, unfortunately. As I remember, at least some of the 1970s commercials involved quite a bit of animation.

 

I remember that the 1976 commercial was based on the artwork from the brochure and featured Cyrus Cosmo in the Chute Out. That brochure is probably my all-time amusement park favorite, in that the imaginative art really encourages one to use his mind to imagine what the park is like.

 

Does anyone have brochures for all of the 1970s? I'd love to see 1970 thru 1976 again!
